Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this fantastic survivor 1981 Trans Am which is in superb overall condition with very low actual miles of 17,506. This TA is a one family owned car and it was purchased from their estate.
This TA is from Colorado and has been there since day one until 2/2021 which it was transported to Ohio. This TA is fully loaded with nearly every option available including: WS6 sport suspension and 4 wheel disk brakes, AC, T Tops, power windows, power locks, tilt wheel, cassette radio with boost, delay wipers, Deluxe interior, rear defrost, 4 speed, and much more. The original 305 engine remains in the car as does the four speed manual transmission. This TA features beautiful mostly original Light Blue paint, an original mint Blue interior, the original 305 engine and 4 speed transmission, 2 Original Build Sheets, and PHS documents. This TA is very solid with great lines and gaps. There is no rust or rust repairs and no bubbling or cracked paint. The underside is extremely solid with no rust or corrosion issues and no patches or repairs. This TA is finished in the desirable color combinations of Light Blue over Blue Deluxe interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag pictured above. The included carfax shows miles at 17,315 in 1995 and the car has only been driven about 200 miles since. Car was last registered in 2008. The current Ohio title shows the miles as Actual.
Exterior
The Light Blue exterior is in fantastic mostly original condition. This TA has great paint with original decals. The believed to be mostly original paint is in great overall condition for its age with no signs of visible rust anywhere on the body or underneath and both bumpers are in great shape. There is no bubbling paint anywhere on the body of this car but there are a few door dings and color matched touch ups. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but nothing was intentionally excluded from the photos. The Original Goodyear Polysteel Radial tires have great tread left but are 41 years old but have no cracking or noticeable flat spots. The 15″ Original wheels are in great original condition. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in good original condition. Trunk is very solid and clean and factory correct with the original trunk mat, original spare tire and jack, and the original t top bags. The GM Delco original speakers are still in car and work great.
The underside of this TA is exceptionally solid with no rust issues or concerns and no patches or repairs. There are numerous paint markings and paper tags under this TA which is a great testament to originality.
Interior
The Blue deluxe interior of this TA is in terrific mostly original condition. The original seat covers are in spectacular condition with no noticeable wear or fading or seam splits. These are factory original covers not some cheap aftermarket covers. The carpet is original with no major stains, rips, or holes and is in excellent condition. The original dash is in like new condition with no cracks or warping. The engine turned dash bezel is like new as well and correct and looks beautiful in the car. The original cassette stereo still sounds great and has the upgraded audio boost switch. The original door panels are in excellent condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner and package tray are both in great condition. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should including the cigarette lighter and clock. The horn, all gauges, stereo, wipers, rear defrost, and blower motor all work. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever. The factory AC system is fully intact and has not been tampered with.
Mechanical
This TA is in good original mechanical condition and the original 305 engine is still in the car. The engine runs well and the car performs nicely. The car starts easily and the choke works as designed. This TA is very unmolested and the engine bay is stock and untampered with. The hoses, clamps, vacuum lines, emissions, AC system, spark plug wires and looms are all stock. All tags, stickers, zip ties, looms, etc. are stock original. Two stock mufflers were just added and the rest of the exhaust is stock. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time and runs well. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos.
