Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1979 Factory Nocturne Blue TA with the original matching numbers 403 engine and very low actual miles of 35,579. This TA was sold new out of Canada and stayed with its original owner until at least 2018 but possibly longer. This TA features beautiful factory Nocturne Blue paint with new decals, an original deluxe camel hobnail interior, the original 403 engine, and several original dealer brochures, the original owners manual, original factory build sheet, and PHS documents. This Trans Am is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Nocturne Blue over Camel deluxe hobnail interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag pictured above and included build sheet and PHS documents. Nocturne blue is a one year 1979 only color which is a striking color and really stands out in the crowd.

Exterior

The Nocturne Blue exterior is in excellent overall restored condition. This Trans Am was treated to a professional repaint a few years ago with new decals, a new front bumper emblem, and new bumper grills. The paint is in terrific overall condition with no signs of visible rust on the body and the underside is solid with no patches. The paint is super nice and the fit and finish of the car is excellent. The paint is smooth to the touch and has a great shine and excellent gloss. There may be some imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but nothing was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires have near full tread left and are sized 255/60/15 and the 15×8 snowflake wheels are like new and in restored condition with new center caps and lug nuts. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in great condition. Trunk is very solid and clean with an original style felt trunk mat, space save spare tire, inflator bottle, and jack.

Interior

The Camel deluxe hobnail cloth interior of this Trans Am is in good original condition. The seat covers are in good overall condition with no major wear, no rips, or seam splits. The carpet is in good overall condition with no rips or holes but could use a good shampoo. The original dash is in terrific condition with no cracks or fading and the dash bezel is in excellent shape. The stereo works but needs a better antenna to get all stations in and the cassette player works and sounds good. The door panels appear to be original and are in good condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner is in good shape. The original package tray is in great condition. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should including the clock and cigarette lighter. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever and the ash tray is super clean.

Mechanical

This Trans Am is in great mechanical condition and runs and drives well and has good power. The original numbers matching 403 engine runs great and has plenty of power and this TA runs and drives well. The brakes work well and do not pull from side to side and a new master cylinder was added. The exhaust appears to be in original style and the cat is still in place. The exhaust has a nice rumble at idle and cruising speeds. In the video one can observe this car running and driving and shifting through the gears. This Trans Am fires right up and holds idle quickly and runs and drives well. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. Also, the engine bay is nicely detailed and clean and shows mostly factory correct. This is a factory NON AC car which really cleans up the engine bay area and enhances performance. This TA is a true attention getter and very fun to drive around on a nice day with the t tops removed.
