Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1979 Z28 which is in beautiful mostly original condition with low actual miles of 62,852. This Z28 is mostly stock original but was treated to a Chevy 502 new engine upgrade and is a wonderful blend of stock original with high end horse power. This Z28 features believed to be original paint, an original tan cloth interior, factory build sheet and manuals, and an upgraded 502 Chevy engine. This Z28 is solid with great lines and gaps and was rust proofed when new. This Z28 is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Brown over Tan cloth interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag and build sheet pictured above. Also included with this Z28 is the factory build sheet and several original documents and car owners manual.
Exterior
The Brown exterior is in good overall original stock condition. This Z28 has believed to be original paint and decals and shows no signs of any repainted areas. The paint is in good condition with no signs of visible rust and both bumpers are in good shape shape. The paint is 43 years old so there are some blemishes around the car and the decals are original too and show some minor patina in places. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. Tires have near full tread left and are sized 225/70/15 in the front and 255/60/15 in the rear. The OEM Rally wheels are in good unrestored shape with no curb rash. Trunk is very solid and clean with the original space saver spare tire, inflator bottle, jack, and original trunk mat. This car was rust proofed when new which has really done its job and kept this car solid. The underside was heavily rust proofed when new and still very visible today and still protecting this car from corrosion.
Interior
The Tan cloth interior of this Z28 is in great original condition. The original seat covers are in great overall condition with no major wear or seam splits. These are original covers not some cheap aftermarket covers. The carpet is original with no major stains, rips, or holes. The original dash is in excellent condition with no cracks or fading and the dash bezel is in good condition as well. The stereo has been upgraded to a digital cassette player and thankfully the dash has not been cut for a modern stereo. The stereo is not currently hooked up. The door panels are original and in nice condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The package tray is in good condition as well. The headliner original material was recently pulled off due to sagging. All interior lights and gauges work as they should outside of the clock. The horn, blower motor, and wipers also work. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever. The AC is currently not blowing cold and needs to be serviced, but everything was retained during the engine swap.
Mechanical
This Z28 is in great mechanical condition with only 62,852 actual miles on the car. A new 502 Chevy engine was added less than 1000 miles ago and this Z28 runs very strong and has lots of power and grunt. In the video one can observe this car running with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs well. This Z28 is an nice driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs great. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should and a new master cylinder was added recently along with rear brake cylinders. The exhaust was upgraded to 3″ Pypes exhaust with Douglas ceramic coated headers and X pipe. A new starter was recently added as was a new electric fuel pump and hoses. New alternator was added along with a newer battery. A new Holley carb. was added along with new Davis unified Ignition with new wires and plugs. 2500 Stall was added along with Pwertraxx locker. Frame connectors and traction bars were added. This car is a blast to drive and turns heads where ever it goes. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. This Z is an excellent blend of stock original with a modern upgraded 502 engine.
