Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1979 Pontiac Trans Am which is in nicely restored condition in factory Silver over Black deluxe interior. This TA features The original 403 engine which has been fully rebuilt in 2009 around 9000 miles ago. Receipts for rebuild are included along with numerous other restoration receipts. This Trans Am features beautiful Silver Paint with newer decals, a rebuilt original 403 engine, a nicely restored black interior, Factory Fisher T Tops, and numerous service records and receipts. Also included is the owners manual.
Exterior
The Silver exterior is in nice overall restored condition. The paint was redone around 10 years ago with new decals applied at that time. The paint shows good overall and has a nice gloss and shine and is smooth to the touch. The body is in solid overall condition and has good lines and gaps around the car. The underside is in good overall condition but shows some repairs to the tail panel area. The bumpers are in good overall condition but there is a touch up on the front and rear bumper. Both front bumper grills were replaced. The tires have near full tread left and the 15×7 Snowflake wheels are in excellent shape. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in like new condition. Trunk is very solid and clean with a felt trunk mat, spare tire, T Top storage bags, and Infinity base speaker.
Interior
The interior of this TA has been nicely restored in Factory correct deluxe black vinyl interior. The seat covers were replaced and are like new and are very comfortable. The carpet was replaced and is in great condition with no major stains or holes. The door panels are in good condition and both door pulls are in tact. The headliner was replaced and is not sagging at all. The dash was sent out and fully restored and is in like new excellent condition with no cracks, no fading, and no warping. A new package tray was installed as were new rocker sills. A modern Retrosound blue tooth stereo was professionally added with new speakers which sounds awesome. An infinity bass speaker was added in the trunk. The gauges all work properly. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should. The interior and headlights were upgraded to LED lights. The wipers, gauges, heater, horn, and stereo all work. This is a factory AC car and all components are still in tact but the AC belt was removed. The compressor spins freely.
Mechanical
This TA is in great mechanical condition and many mechanical systems have been restored. The original 403 engine is still in the car with matching vin stamp as seen in the photos. Engine was fully rebuilt in 2009 and comes with build receipts. A new distributor and new spark plugs and wires were installed. A new starter was installed. New fuel pump and water pump were installed. The automatic transmission shifts nicely and works well. The brakes were fully serviced and stop as they should, but the pedal squeaks. We have driven this TA numerous times around town and on the highway and it always performs very well, does not run hot, rides tight, and is a true joy to drive. This TA is a great driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs good. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. This TA has upgraded Megnaflow exhaust with a performance Megnaflow cat which sounds great at idle and cruising speeds. A new alternator was added. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. Several suspension parts were replaced like ball joints and shocks.
