Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1977 Pontiac Formula which is in fantastic restored condition with hard to find Hurst T Tops. This Formula is believed to have had only 2 owners with the original owner having possession from new until early 2022. This Formula features terrific paint with new decals, a restored black deluxe vinyl interior, and the original numbers matching 350 Pontiac engine. This Formula is absolutely solid and has no visible rust anywhere around the car or under the car, and is very solid with great lines and gaps. This Formula is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of White over Black Deluxe vinyl interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag pictured above. In 2014 this Formula was involved in a rear end accident and the original owner so loved the car that they had it professionally repaired with new rear quarter panels, a new rear tail panel, and new metal in the trunk. You can see the GM labels on the inside on the bottom of the rear quarter panels. A professional show quality paint job was performed on this Formula. The cost of the work exceeded the value of the car so the title shows as “rebuilt.” The car drives very well and shows well and has new metal in the rear area with a like new paint job. The frame rails are in excellent shape as is the rest of the underside and body.
Exterior
The White exterior is wonderful restored condition. This Formula was professionally repainted in 2014 and shows very well and was done to a high level and looks as good as new. The paint is in excellent overall condition and there are no signs of visible rust and both bumpers are in great shape with no flaking paint. The decals are like new and look great on the car. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. Tires have good tread left on them and are sized 225/70/15. The 15×7 Rally Wheels are OEM originals and are in excellent shape with no curb rash and have never been restored or painted and feature original trim rings and center caps. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in great condition. The trunk is factory correct and very solid and clean with the original space saver spare tire, jack, original inflator bottle, with the original trunk mat. The underside of this Formula is extremely solid and rust free. It has not been touched up with cheap spray paint or undercoating. The repair work done to this car in 2014 was done professionally and correctly and to a high level.
Interior
The Black vinyl deluxe interior of this Formula is in restored excellent condition. The seat covers are brand new and in perfect condition with no wear, stains, or seam splits. The carpet is brand new with no stains, rips, or holes. The dash is in good overall condition and the dash bezel is in good condition as well. The original AM/FM Stereo and 8 Track player are not currently working and thankfully the dash has not been cut for a modern stereo. The original door panels are in good condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner board is new as is the package tray. All interior lights and gauges work. The horn and wipers work but the blower motor is currently not working.
Mechanical
This Formula is in good mechanical condition with the original numbers matching 350 engine still under the hood. This Formula runs and drives nicely and has plenty of power. We have driven this Formula numerous times around town and it drives well, it does not run hot, rides tight, and is a joy to drive. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should and several brake hoses have been replaced. True dual Flowmaster exhaust was added and sounds amazing on the car at idle and cruising speeds. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. This is a factory AC car and the factory components are still on the car but the system is not currently working. This Formula has been loved and meticulously cared for by its long term original owner and the amazing overall original condition of this Formula is a testament to that.
