Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1972 Ford Mustang which is in fantastic restored condition and priced to sell. This Mustang was fully restored in 2005 and has been driven lightly since then and still shows very well. This Mustang was part of the Ken Lingenfelter collection for several years and he bought it at a classic car auction. See the included email from Ken and previous title in his company name. This Mustang features terrific paint, a restored black deluxe vinyl interior, and a rebuilt 351 engine. This Mustang is very solid and has no visible rust anywhere around the car or under the car, and has great lines and gaps. This Mustang is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of White over Black Deluxe interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the original window sticker and door label pictured above. This car spent a lot of years in California and comes with the old California plate and a vintage LA map which was in the glove box.
Exterior
The White exterior is wonderful restored condition. This Mustang was professionally repainted in 2005 and still shows very well and was done to a high level and looks great. Numerous restoration photos from 2005 are shown in the gallery above. The paint is in excellent overall condition and there are no signs of visible rust and both bumpers are in great shape and have an excellent shine. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. Tires have good tread left on them and are sized and the Magnum Wheels are in great shape with no curb. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in great condition. The trunk is factory looking and very solid and clean with the original spare tire and original style trunk mat and tire cover. The underside of this Mustang is super solid and rust free with no visible repairs and shows original undercoating.
Interior
The Black deluxe interior of this Mustang is in excellent overall condition. The seat covers are like new and in great condition with no noticeable wear, stains, or seam splits. The carpet is like new with no stains, rips, or holes. The dash is in excellent overall condition and the dash bezel is in great condition as well. The Stereo has been upgraded to a modern unit and sounds good. The door panels are in great condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner was replaced and still looks like new. All interior and exterior lights work. The gauges all work outside of the tach. The tach. was rebuilt and working but a new distributor was added and the tach. needs to be properly hooked up to the distributor. The horn and wipers work but and the blower motor works on all speeds. This Mustang has factory AC and the system is currently working and blowing cold air.
Mechanical
This Mustang is in excellent mechanical condition and the 351 engine runs very well and was report ably rebuilt during the restoration. This Mustang runs and drives nicely and has plenty of power and all systems appear to be working properly. We have driven this Mustang numerous times around town and it drives well, it does not run hot, rides tight, and is a joy to drive. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. True dual Flowmaster exhaust with headers was added and sounds amazing on the car at idle and cruising speeds. Numerous suspension items have been upgraded including rear leaf springs, new shocks, new sway bar bushings, new end links, etc. A new fuel pump was added with new fuel filter and hoses. A new distributor was added with new spark plugs and wires. A performance Milodon oil pan was added during the restoration. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. This is a factory AC car and the factory components are still on the car and currently the system is blowing cold air. This Mustang has been loved and meticulously cared for by its previous owners and the amazing overall original condition of this Mustang is a testament to that.
