Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1980 Esprit with its upgraded 400 engine coupled with an automatic transmission. This Esprit comes in factory Fiero Bronze which is a one year only 1980 color. It looks amazing with the Esprit decal package and really sets this bird apart from the others. This Esprit features really nice Fiero Bronze paint, a mostly original Hobnail Camel interior, and an upgraded 400 Chevy engine and automatic transmission. This Firebird is solid overall with great lines and gaps and was rust proofed when new. This Esprit is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Factory Fiero Bronze (code 80) over Camel Hobnail Cloth interior code(62B). This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag and build sheet pictured above. I found the partial build sheet under the front seat springs during detailing.
Exterior
The Fiero Bronze exterior is in super nice driver condition. This Firebird was repainted some years ago and still shows very well and has a new Esprit decal package. The paint is in overall great condition and has a nice gloss and shines well and is smooth to the touch. Both bumpers are in good shape with no flaking paint or faded paint and no spider webbed paint. The front bumper grills were replaced and the front bumper nose emblem was recently replaced. The decals are in great shape and look excellent on the car and were recently replaced. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. Tires have nearly full tread left and the 15×8 snowflake wheels are in great shape with newer center caps. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in great shape. The trunk is solid and very clean with an original style trunk mat and the original jack and accessories. The underside of this Esprit is outstanding and extremely solid and rust free. It has not been spray bombed with cheap paint or detailed in any way and was rust proofed when new.
Interior
The Camel Hobnail cloth interior of this Esprit is mostly original and in good overall condition. The original seat covers are in good overall condition but the front seats have normal wear for being 43 years old. The carpet is in great condition with no noticeable wear, no stains, rips, or holes. The original dash is excellent with no cracks or warping or fading. The dash bezel is in excellent condition as well. The upgraded JVC CD player works well and sounds awesome and front and rear speakers were replaced. The gauges work and are crisp and clear and the ashtray appears to never have been used. The original door panels are in good condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner is in great spape and was replaced. The package tray is in good condition and features original speaker grills. All interior lights and gauges work as they should. The wipers, turn signals, horn, and blower motor on all speeds work.
Mechanical
This Esprit is in great mechanical condition and the upgraded Chevy 400 engine runs awesome and the automatic transmission shifts great. This Firebird runs and drives well, it rides tight, drives strait down the road, does not run hot, and drives great. Lots of recent work has been completed under the hood including: New Carb., new radiator, new distributor and wires, New valve covers, new air cleaner, Tune up, New shocks, new brakes, etc. In the video one can observe the car running and driving with no excessive rattles or odd noises. This brakes perform well and do not pull and stop as they should and were recently fully serviced. True dual Flowmaster exhaust was added which sounds awesome at idle and cruising speeds. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. This is a factory NON AC car which adds to performance and the muscle car look.
