Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this factory 4 Speed Formula with its born with numbers matching Pontiac 400 engine and factory numbers matching 4 speed manual transmission. This Formula only has 31,226 documented “Actual” miles and only 2 owners since new. The original owner had this Formula from new until 2021, she ordered the car the way you see it today outside of the stereo, which was added in 1976 shortly after delivery. This formula is mostly original and unmolested and comes with a host of original documents, dealer books and brochures, service records dating back to 1976, PHS Documents, and the original window sticker. This Formula features amazing original paint, a mint original black vinyl interior, and the numbers matching 400 Pontiac engine and numbers matching 4 speed manual transmission. This Formula is exceptionally solid with great lines and gaps and was rust proofed when new and that certificate comes with the car. There is no visible rust on the body or underside of this car. There are no known repainted areas around the car and no signs of any body repairs. This Formula is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Factory Polaris Blue (code 35) over Black vinyl interior code(19). This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag and window sticker pictured above. The Miles show as “Actual” on the title and the very low miles are fully documented on past titles, and numerous receipts.
Exterior
The Blue exterior is in stunning beautiful original condition. This Formula has believed to be original paint with no repainted areas, no metal repairs, and absolutely no rust, no bubbling paint, and no cracked paint or crazing paint. The original paint is in overall wonderful condition for being original and looks and shows very well. Both bumpers are in excellent shape with no flaking paint or faded paint and no spider webbed paint. The decals are in great shape and look excellent on the car and are original. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. Tires have nearly full tread left but are older and are correctly sized 225/70/15. The OEM Rally wheels are in great shape and the center caps and trim rings are originals as well and in excellent condition. All weather stripping and window sweeps are original and in good overall condition. The trunk is solid and exceptionally clean with the original space saver spare tire, jack and tools, and the original correct trunk mat, which is in remarkable condition. The underside of this Formula is outstanding and extremely solid and rust free. It has not been spray bombed with cheap paint or detailed in any way.
Interior
The Black vinyl interior of this Formula is mostly original and in near mint condition. The original seat covers are in excellent superb condition and have no wear, stains, or seam splits. They are soft and hold their form as if they were new and are very comfortable. The carpet is original and in near perfect condition with no noticeable wear, no stains, rips, or holes. The original dash is excellent with no cracks or warping or fadin. The dash bezel is in excellent near perfect condition. An 8 track Panasonic stereo was added in 1976 and still works and looks new like it was just installed. The gauges are very crisp and the lenses look new and the ashtray appears to never have been used. The original door panels are in excellent condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner is in excellent condition and the package tray is in like new condition. All interior lights and gauges work as they should including the cigarette lighter. The cig. lighter, tach, stereo, wipers, and blower motor on all speeds all work. The horn is not working but the original steering wheel comes with the car and when it was purchased in 2021 the horn was working with the original steering wheel.
Mechanical
This Formula is in great mechanical condition and most importantly the original numbers matching Pontiac 400 engine and transmission are still in the car, see vin stamp photos of both above. The low “Actual” miles on this Formula are fully documented and Original. This Formula runs and drives well, it rides tight, drives strait down the road, does not run hot, and drives like a newer car. The engine bay shows a lot of originality and several original factory markings, factory vacuum lines, factory decals/stickers, and factory tags are still in place. The original heater hoses and clamps are still in place. The original date coded spark plug wires are still in place as well. In the video one can observe the car running and driving with no excessive rattles or odd noises. This brakes perform well and do not pull and stop as they should. The only noted deviation from stock on this Formula is the exhaust which was changed by the second owner in 2021 as he deleted the cat and added a Flowmaster muffler which sounds awesome at idle and cruising speeds. See included receipts for exhaust work. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. This is a factory NON AC car which adds to performance and the muscle car look. sThis Formula has been loved and meticulously cared for by its previous owners and has been garaged everyday since new. This Formula looks new, smells new, and drives like new. The outstanding originality of this Formula and the way it drives is a true testament to prior owners care and love for this special car.
