Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1978 Ford Mustang which is in terrific driver condition. This Mustang features a nice paint job in White with Red Billboard Cobra II decals, a nicely restored red interior, and a good running 302 engine with automatic transmission. This Mustang is very solid with no visible rust any where and the underside is very solid too. This car has great lines and gaps and shows well. This Mustang was restored around 15 years ago by the owner of a body shop. He painted the car after the engine was removed and added new Cobra II decals and repainted the engine bay area and surround. The engine is out of a 1973 Mustang and runs well and has good power.
Exterior:
The White paint is in great overall condition and the decals were replaced and the exterior still shows nicely. Car was painted years ago but still looks fresh and is a very attractive color combination. There is no visible rust and no known patches around the car. The bumpers are in good shape but do have some minor cracking in the paint on the rear bumper. Wheels are factory 13″ lacy cobra wheels which were restored and tires are sized 185/70/13 and have near full tread left. The rear hatch works as it should and all weather stripping and window sweeps are in great condition. The hatch struts hold up the hatch easily.
Interior:
The red vinyl interior of this Mustang is in great condition. The seat covers are like new and were replaced and are in great shape and show no excessive wear, rips or stains. The headrests have custom Cobra embroidery. The door panels were replaced as well and are like new and in great shape and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The carpet was replaced and shows no holes, rips, or stains. The headliner is in great shape and not sagging with no rips or stains. The stereo works but is not currently hooked up, just needs the wiring hooked up. Interior lights and exterior lights work as do the turn signals. All gauges and blower motor works. Wipers work. Horn does not work. This car has not been smoked in, there is no smoke aroma what so ever.
Mechanical:
This Mustang is in good overall mechanical condition. The 302 engine runs good and shows well and the automatic transmission shifts good. This Mustang runs and drives nicely and has plenty of power. True dual exhaust was added and gives this Mustang a nice exhaust tone at idle and cruising speeds. New shocks were added. A new Holley Carb. was just added with electronic choke. A new fuel pump was added with new fuel lines. The engine bay area is nicely detailed as seen in the photos and shows well with Cobra valve covers and new air cleaner. Underside is very solid with no visible patches noticed and no rust concerns are visible. Really nice all around 1978 Mustang with the added Cobra II appearance package.
