Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this mostly unrestored 1978 Monza which is in really nice original condition with very low actual miles of 57,246. This Monza is in great original condition and was part of a large H body collection in Florida. This Spyder features mostly original red paint, a near mint original interior, and a nice running engine and good manual transmission. This Monza is very solid with great lines and gaps and shows no visible rust. There is no rust or rust repairs and no bubbling paint. The underside is extremely solid with no rust or corrosion issues and no patches or repairs. The underside was rust proofed when new. This Monza is finished in the desirable color combinations of Maroon paint over Red vinyl interior. The current Ohio title shows the miles as Actual as does the previous title. The Spyder appearance package was added to this fine Monza including the front spoiler kit and new Spyder decals and emblems.
Exterior
The Red exterior is in good overall original condition. This Monza has good mostly original paint with added Spyder graphics and emblems. The paint is in very nice overall condition for its age with no signs of visible rust anywhere on the body or underneath and both bumpers are in good shape. There is no bubbling paint anywhere on the body of this car. At some point both bumpers were repainted but the rest of the body is believed to be original paint. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but nothing was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires have good tread left and are and the 13″ OEM wheels are in great condition. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in good original condition. Hatch is very solid and clean and factory correct with the original spare tire. The underside of this Monza is exceptionally solid with no rust issues or concerns and no patches or repairs. It was rust proofed when new. Front spoiler was added.
Interior
The interior of this Monza is in terrific original condition. The original seat covers are in great condition with no noticeable wear or fading or seam splits. These are factory original covers not some cheap aftermarket covers. The carpet is original with no major stains, rips, or holes and is in great condition. The original dash is in like new condition with no cracks or warping. The original stereo sounds good and thankfully the dash has not been cut on for a modern stereo. The original door panels are in excellent condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner is in good condition. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should including the cigarette lighter though the gas gauge is not 100% accurate. The horn, stereo, wipers, and blower motor all work. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever. This is a factory AC car and all the factory AC components appear to be in place.
Mechanical
This Monza is in good mechanical condition with only 57,246 actual miles. The original engine is still in the car and runs good. A holley carb. was added and an aftermarket air cleaner was installed. Spyder front and rear sway bars were added. The exhaust is in good working order and sounds stock. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. With having 3.42 rear gears this Monza is pretty quick and will smoke the tires easily. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos.
