Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this stunning show ready 1987 El Camino SS Choo Choo edition which is in fantastic overall condition. This SS El Camino is 1 of approximately 2200 Choo Choo El Camino’s which were converted in Tennessee from 1983-1987. The original correct conversion Choo Choo decal is still located in the drivers door jamb. This Choo Choo was owned by just one family from new and only shows 76,455 actual miles. This El Camino features terrific factory white paint, an original blue interior, an upgraded 383 stroker engine, and several original dealer booklets. This El Camino is very solid and has no visible rust anywhere around the truck and is very solid with great lines and gaps. This El Camino is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of White over Blue Cloth interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the rpo label.

Exterior

The White exterior is in excellent overall condition. This El Camino has terrific white paint which shows very well. The paint is in excellent overall condition and there are no signs of visible rust anywhere around the truck. All trim and decals look great around the truck. This El Camino is one of the 2200 which were converted into Choo Choo special editions. Unique Choo Choo front bumper, trim, and decals were added as part of the package. Both bumpers are in good overall condition. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires have good tread left and are sized 215/70/14 and drive just fine. The wheels are OEM originals and are in great overall shape and have no curb rash. The rear cargo compartment and spare tire storage area are both solid and clean and the original spare tire is still in place. The rear tail gate works properly and is very solid with no rust issues.

Interior

The Blue Cloth interior of this El Camino is mostly original and in great overall condition. The seat covers are factory originals and in great overall condition with no major wear, stains, or seam splits. The carpet is original and looks great with no major stains, rips, or holes. The original dash is in excellent condition with no cracks or fading and the gauges are crisp and clear. The stereo has been upgraded to a Retro Sound blue tooth digital stereo and works great in this El Camino and thankfully the dash has not been cut for installation. The original door panels are in great condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner is in like new condition and the added period correct sunroof works properly and adds additional headroom and fresh air when open. All gauges work properly but the tach. does read high and has for a long time. The horn, stereo, wipers, power windows, and blower motor on all speeds all work. This El Camino has factory air conditioning and all components remain in place and currently the system blows cold air. The heater works properly.

Mechanical

This El Camino is in excellent mechanical condition and the upgraded 383 stroker engine runs strong and very well. The engine bay area is in show condition with numerous upgraded items like polished intake manifold, ceramic coated headers, braided lines, and aluminum radiator with electric fans. We have driven this El Camino several times and it drives very nicely, it does not run hot, rides very tight, and is a true joy to drive. There are no rattles or annoying noises. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. The exhaust was upgraded to true dual exhaust with Dynomax mufflers and ceramic coated headers. This El Camino has a nice rumble at idle and cruising speeds. New air shocks were added and and new starter was added as well. This El Camino has been loved and meticulously cared for by its previous one family owner and the overall condition of the truck and the way it runs and drives validates that. The outstanding overall condition of this El Camino and the way it drives is a true testament to prior owners care and love for this special El Camino. This truck is in overall show condition and would show nicely at any car show or cruise in.
