Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1984 Pontiac Trans Am which is in very nice overall condition and looks period correct in its two tone brown paint over tan interior. This Trans AM features many sought after features including a factory 5 speed manual transmission, factory T Tops, WS6 performance package with 4 wheel disk brakes, and an upgraded tune port 350 engine. The original owner had this 350 tune port engine installed after they came out in the late 80’s. The 350 engine with 5 speed was never a factory option on these cars so this one is quite unique in its configuration. This Trans AM features a nice two tone brown exterior, a very nice tan interior, some dealer books and manuals, and an upgraded 350 tune port engine matted to a rare manual 5 speed transmission. This TA is absolutely solid and has no visible rust anywhere around the car or under the car, and is very solid with great lines and gaps. This TA is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Brown over Tan cloth interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on trim tag and RPO label pictured above.
Exterior
The Brown exterior is in stock nice overall condition. This Trans AM has looks great in its two tone brown exterior and shows well. The paint is in good overall condition and has a nice shine and great gloss. There are no signs of visible rust anywhere around the car or under the car. There is no bubbling paint anywhere on the car and no crazing or cracked paint anywhere on the car. Both bumpers are in good shape. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. There are some small dings around the car and few areas of thin paint like on the rear view mirrors. The tires are like new and have near full tread left and are sized 235/60/15 and have date codes of 1619 which shows they were made on the 16th week of 2019. The OEM wheels are in great condition. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in great condition. The hatch is factory correct and in near perfect shape and the spare tire has never been removed and the jack and tools are in the factory placement. The hatch struts were recently replaced and work perfectly and keep the hatch open and work as new. The cargo cover is in great shape and works properly. The underside of this TA is very honest and extremely solid and rust free, and has not had any touch ups. The T Top bag is like new and hold the T Tops safely while they are removed. The headlights work very well and were serviced recently and go up and down quickly as seen in the video.
Interior
The Tan cloth interior of this Trans AM is in very nice overall condition. The cloth seat covers are upgraded fourth generation factory seats and fit the interior nicely. The original seat covers are in very good condition with no major wear or stains or rips in the material. The carpet is great condition with no major stains, rips, or holes. The dash is in great condition and has a dash overlay and the gauges are crisp and clear with new led lighting. The stereo is original and currently does not power up but the clock is working. The original door panels are in good overall condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner was replaced not long ago. A new steering wheels was added along with a new shifter knob and emergency brake handle. All interior lights and gauges work as they should. The horn, wipers, rear wiper, Power windows, and blower motor all work. The gas gauge does not show completely full when filled but does lower appropriately. The door locks are finicky and new door lock cylinders with keys come with the car and the power door locks do not always fully work. This TA has never been smoked in and there is no cigarette aroma what so ever.
Mechanical
This Trans AM is in great mechanical condition and runs and drives very well. The upgraded engine was added sometime in the late 80’s when the new 350 tune port engines were available. It was installed at a GM dealership and has been with the car since. This TA is a factory 5 speed manual transmission TA which makes this combination a true joy to drive. 350 five speed Firebirds were never produced by GM so this TA makes for a fun unique car. The brakes work as they should, car steers as it should, and the car shifts as it should. A newer performance starter was added. New sway bar end links were added. The engine bay is clean and nicely detailed and has been properly maintained over the years by enthusiast owners who took great pride in showing this car. The exhaust appears to be factory correct and stock and has a nice rumble at idle and cruising speeds. The underside of the TA is in fantastic rust free original condition. There are no patch panels or rust issues past or current and no cheap spray paint hiding possible issues. Many surfaces from the factory were not painted which surface corrosion over the years in inevitable. This Trans AM has been loved and meticulously cared for by its previous owners and the overall condition of this car and the way it runs and drives validates that. The outstanding overall condition of this TA and the way it drives is a true testament to prior owners care and love for this special TA. The AC system is not currently blowing cold air and needs charged properly to blow cold air.
