Cincy Classic Cars is proud to share this 1981 Trans Am which is in excellent overall condition with low actual miles of 42,509. The original 301 engine was replaced with a Pontiac 400 engine which runs very well. This TA features beautiful Dark Brown paint, an restored Tan interior, Factory T Tops, The WS6 handling package with 4 wheel disc brakes, an upgraded Pontiac 400 Engine, and an automatic transmission. This TA is very solid with great lines and gaps. There is no rust or cracked paint anywhere around the car. The underside is extremely solid with no rust or corrosion issues and no patches or repairs. This TA is finished in the desirable color combinations of Dark Brown over Tan Deluxe interior.
Exterior
The Dark Brown exterior is in great restored condition. This TA has great paint with replaced decals. The paint is in nice overall condition and was repainted in the factory color approximately 10 years ago. There are no signs of visible rust anywhere on the body or underneath and both bumpers are in great shape. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but nothing was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires have near full tread left and are sized 225/70/15 and the 15″ OEM wheels are in excellent shape. All weather stripping and window sweeps have been replaced and are in new condition. The Fisher T Tops come off easily and fit snug to the car and the T Top seals have been replaced. Trunk is very solid and clean with a replacement trunk mat. The underside of this TA is solid with no rust issues or concerns and no patches or repairs.
Interior
The Tan deluxe interior of this TA is in terrific restored condition. The seat covers were replaced and are in excellent condition with no noticeable wear or fading or seam splits. The carpet was replaced and has no major stains, rips, or holes and is in excellent condition. The original dash is in excellent condition with no cracks or warping or fading and the dash bezel is in good condition too. The stereo was upgraded to a digital Pioneer CD stereo with replacement speakers and works great and sounds excellent. The door panels were replaced and are in excellent condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner and package tray are both in great condition and were replaced. The headliner is the correct perforated material. This TA has tilt wheel. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should but the tach is currently not working. The horn, stereo, wipers, rear defrost, and power windows all work. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever. The Factory AC system is fully in tact and the compressor has been upgraded to a modern unit but the blower motor is not turning on.
Mechanical
This TA is in good mechanical condition and the engine was upgraded to a Pontiac 400 engine. This engine runs very well and the car performs nicely and has plenty of power over the stock 301T. This TA was upgraded to dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers which gives this car a healthy rumble at idle and cruising speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time and runs well. This TA features the WS6 handling package with 4 wheel disc brakes and the brakes do not pull and stop as they should. The body mounts were replaced and the shocks were replaced too. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. An electronic fuel pump was added as was an Edelbrock Carb. The transmission was recently serviced with new fluid and filter.
