Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this fantastic survivor 1981 Trans Am which is in superb overall condition with very low actual miles of 12,745. This car drives like new as only a very low mile car can. This TA is from The west coast, Washington State, and has had only 2 owners since new. The original owner had the car until 2021. After he passed away his widow traded the car for extensive dental work to her dentist. Many yearly registrations have been retained by the meticulous owners. The original 301 engine remains in the car and the vin on the engine block is numbers matching. This TA features beautiful original Brown paint, an original mint Doeskin deluxe interior, the original 301 engine, and numerous original dealer documents and brochures and two build sheets. This TA is very solid with great lines and gaps. There is no rust or rust repairs and no bubbling or cracked paint. The underside is extremely solid with no rust or corrosion issues and no patches or repairs. This TA was heavily undercoated on the underside to prevent rust which has really done its job. This TA is finished in the desirable color combinations of Brown over Doeskin Deluxe interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag and build sheet pictured above. The clean car fax shows the miles as actual as does the current car title. This low mile TA is as close to a new 1981 TA and one can find with its fantastic original paint and mint original interior. One owner from new until 2021 with two build sheets and the original window sticker and numerous dealer docs and brochures.

Exterior

The Brown exterior is in fantastic original stock condition. This TA has great original paint. The believed to be original paint is in excellent overall condition for its age with no signs of visible rust anywhere on the body or underneath and both bumpers are in great shape. There is no bubbling paint anywhere on the body of this car. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but nothing was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires have full tread left and are newer and correctly sized 225/70/15 and the 15″ OEM wheels are in like new condition. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in great original condition. Trunk is very solid and clean with the original trunk mat, original jack, and the original 6×9 rear speakers. The underside of this TA is exceptionally solid with no rust issues or concerns and no patches or repairs and was undercoated many years ago to prevent rust.

Interior

The Doeskin deluxe interior of this TA is in terrific original stock condition. The original seat covers are in spectacular condition with no noticeable wear or fading or seam splits. These are factory original covers not some cheap aftermarket covers. The carpet is in great condition with no stains, rips, or holes. The original dash is in like new condition with no cracks or warping or fading and the original plastic pieces are still under the metal A pillar trim pieces. The engine turned dash bezel is like new as well and correct and looks beautiful in the car. The original digital cassette stereo is still in the car and sounds great and thankfully the dash was not cut on for a modern stereo. The original door panels are in excellent condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner was professionally replaced and is in like new condition, see receipt. The package tray is original and in excellent condition with original speaker grills. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should including the cigarette lighter and clock. The horn, all gauges, stereo, wipers, rear defrost, and blower motor all work. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever. The power antenna goes up and down as it should and the power windows do as well. It actually still smells new inside the car.

Mechanical

This TA is in excellent mechanical condition and the original 301 engine is still in the car with matching vin number, see photo. This TA was treated to several road worthy services around 4 years ago including, new gas tank and gas lines blown and cleaned out, new carb. new shocks, new tires, new fuel sending unit, new fuel pump, new battery, new spark plugs, full transmission service, new sway bar end links, and new front brakes. Over $3800 was spent on these repairs, see included receipt. This engine runs well and the car performs nicely. This TA drives well with surprising power and the handling is superior being a factory WS6 car. The exhaust appears to be original and still in very nice shape and has a mild stock tone. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time and runs well. The factory 4 wheel disc brakes do not pull and stop as they should. Also, the engine is very clean and completely stock and correct as far as I can see. Very unmolested with numerous original hoses and clamps and vacuum lines and decals and tags and factory markings. Only original survivor stock cars can show like this TA and they are only original and in this high level of condition once. True time capsule which should do nothing but appreciate over time.
