Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1979 Pontiac Trans Am which is fully restored in rarely seen factory White over Black Vinyl interior. This TA features The original 403 engine which has been fully rebuilt and the factory transmission has been rebuilt as well. Receipts for rebuilds are included as well as a dyno run showing over 300HP with the build. This TA has been very nicely restored over the years with well over $16,000 in included receipts from that time frame. This Trans Am features beautiful White Paint with new decals, a rebuilt original 403 engine coupled with a rebuilt automatic transmission, a fully restored interior, and numerous service records and receipts. Also included is PHS Documentation validating this fine Trans Am.
Exterior
The White exterior is in terrific restored condition. The paint was redone professionally with new decals applied at that time. The paint shows very well and has a nice gloss and shine and is smooth to the touch. The body is in excellent condition and shows no signs of rust or rust repair and has no bubbling paint and has great lines and gaps. The underside is very honest and solid and is in great shape with no rust or previous rust repairs. The bumpers are in great overall condition and look good on the car. The tires have decent tread left and the 15×8 Snowflake wheels are restored originals. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in like new condition. Trunk is very solid and clean with a correct felt trunk mat, spare tire, and jack. New body side moldings were added after repaint. Pontiac mud flaps have been installed. The glass around the car is like new.
Interior
The interior of this TA has been restored in Factory correct deluxe black vinyl interior. The seat covers were replaced and are like new and are very comfortable. The carpet was replaced and is in great condition with no major stains or holes. The door panels are in great condition and both door pulls are in tact. The headliner was replaced and is not sagging at all. The dash has been covered with an overlay and the dash bezel is in good condition. A new package tray was installed as were new rocker sills. A modern Kenwood blue tooth stereo was professionally added with new speakers which sounds awesome. The gauges all work properly. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should. The wipers, gauges, heater, power windows, horn, rear defrost, and stereo all work. This is a factory AC car and all components are installed and the system was serviced in 2013.
Mechanical
This TA is in excellent mechanical condition and many mechanical systems have been restored. The original 403 engine is still in the car with matching vin stamp as seen in the photos. Engine was fully rebuilt in 2014 and comes with build receipts and a dyno sheet showing over 300HP. A new distributor and new spark plugs and wires were installed. A new starter was installed. New fuel pump and water pump were installed. A new aluminum radiator was installed and a new aluminum intake. The automatic transmission was fully rebuilt and comes with build receipt. The heater core was replaced. A new master cylinder was installed. We have driven this TA numerous times around town and on the highway and it always performs very well, does not run hot, rides tight, and is a true joy to drive. This TA is an excellent driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs excellent. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. This TA has dual exhaust with performance Thorton exhaust manifolds which sounds great at idle and cruising speeds. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. Power windows are slow, drivers door has a rattle, and the speedo makes some noise.
