Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1979 Factory Atlantis Blue TA with rare white and blue two tone interior. This TA features beautiful factory Atlantis Blue paint with new decals, a rare white and blue vinyl interior, a great running 403 engine, and the original window sticker and build sheet and many original dealer documents. This Trans Am is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Atlantis Blue over white and blue interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag pictured above and build sheet and window sticker. I have never seen this color combination in person or on the internet or in photos. Its a striking color combination and really stands out in the crowd.
Exterior
The Atlantis Blue exterior is in great overall restored condition. This Trans Am was treated to a repaint some years ago with new decals and a new front bumper emblem and new bumper grills. The paint is in great overall condition with no signs of visible rust on the body and the underside is solid with no patches. The paint is smooth to the touch and has a great shine and excellent gloss. There may be some imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but nothing was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires have good tread left and are correctly sized 225/70/15 and the 8″ OEM snowflake wheels are in restored condition with new center caps and lug nuts. The wheels were powder coated and in excellent shape.
All weather stripping and window sweeps are in like new condition and were replaced when car was repainted. Trunk is very solid and clean with a correct style felt trunk mat.
Interior
The white and blue vinyl interior of this Trans Am is in great overall condition. The seat covers are in good overall condition with no noticeable wear, no rips, no seam splits. The carpet is in like new condition with no major stains, rips, or holes and was replaced. The original dash is in great condition with no cracks, no warping, and no fading. The upgraded digital Kenwood CD player was just added and looks great in the car and sounds awesome and was placed in the map pocket with an adapter plate. The door panels were just replaced and are in like new condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner is in great overall condition. The package tray is in great condition as well and newer speakers were added. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should but the clock is not working. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.
Mechanical
This Trans Am is in great mechanical condition and runs and drives very well and has good power. The 403 engine runs great and has plenty of power and this TA runs and drives very well. The brakes work well and do not pull from side to side. New brake lines and new fuel lines were added. The exhaust was upgraded with true dual exhaust with added headers and Flowmaster Muffler which gives this TA a nice rumble at idle and cruising speeds. In the video one can observe this car running and driving and shifting through the gears. This Trans Am fires right up and holds idle quickly and runs and drives very well. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. Also, the engine bay is nicely detailed and clean. This is a factory NON AC car which really cleans up the engine bay area and enhances performance. This TA is a true attention getter and truly fun to drive around on a nice day with the t tops removed.
