Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this Survivor 1979 Factory Camaro Rally Sport which still retains its original numbers matching 305 engine and automatic transmission with low “Actual” miles of 11,560. This RS is believed to be fully original outside of the replacement stereo and the miles are documented on titles and numerous service records and receipts. The included build sheet and numerous other dealer documents fully authenticate this special Rally Sport as being legit and the real deal. There is also another full build sheet under the drivers seat springs, see photos. This Camaro features believed to be original paint and original decals, an original fantastic Red vinyl interior, the original factory drive line, and the factory build sheet. This Camaro has no visible rust anywhere and is very solid with great lines and gaps. There are no rust concerns anywhere on the frame, floors, rockers, or trunk. This Camaro is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Red and black (codes 75/19) over Red vinyl interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag pictured above and included Build Sheet. This RS has also consistently passed yearly vehicle inspections in Virginia.
Exterior
The Red and black exterior is in very nice original stock condition. This Camaro features believed to be original sheet metal with no patches or repairs and original paint in factory Red and Black with original decals. The paint is in great condition for being 42 years old with no signs of visible rust anywhere on the body or underneath and both bumpers are in great shape with no flaking paint. The paint has a nice shine and is smooth to the touch but does has expected patina for being 42 years old. The paint is a little thin in a few spots on the hood and roof. There are a few color matched touch ups from rock chips and the like. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but nothing was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires were replaced in 2017 and have full tread left and are sized 225/70/14 and the factory wheels are OEM originals and are in great original condition and not restored with original trim rings and center caps. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in great condition. This RS was rust proofed when new which really helped this car to remain rust free. Trunk is very solid and clean with the original full size spare tire and jack, with a the original correct trunk mat. Period correct rear window louvers were added early on in this cars life along with some pinstripes on the hood. The drivers door was scratched at a car show and the previous owner had a supposed color match repair made but its a slightly different color.
Interior
The Red vinyl interior of this Camaro is original and in excellent overall condition. The original seat covers are in like new condition with no noticeable wear or rips. These are not replacements but factory original vinyl covers. The carpet is original with no major stains, rips, or holes. The original dash is in excellent condition with no cracks or fading and the dash bezel is original and in excellent condition too. The thin plastic retainers under the A pillar trim is still in tact on this RS and is usually only seen on very low mile cars, see photos of clear plastic retainers in gallery. The replacement am/fm cassette stereo works and sounds good. The original door panels are in like new condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner is like new with no sagging at all and the package tray is original and in great condition. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should. The horn, stereo, wipers, and blower motor on all speeds works. The warning buzzers and lights all work and so does the blinker indicator lights. Reverse lock out linkage is still in place from the factory on this Camaro. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.
Mechanical
This Camaro is in excellent mechanical condition with low miles of 11,560. Most importantly the original 305 engine and original automatic transmission are still in the car with matching numbers. The brakes were recently fully serviced and do not pull and stop well. The calipers were changed and the rotors serviced, see receipt for details. The coolant system was flushed in 2017. New cat back exhaust was added in 2017 along with 4 new tires. The smiles, thumbs up, and attention you get driving this car really adds to the enjoyment factor. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs well. This Camaro is an excellent driver that feels good on the road and at highway speeds. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. There is a lot of originality under the hood and throughout the car. This car was just driven over 200 miles in May of 2021 from previous owners lake house to primary home to prepare for shipment to new owner.
