Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this stunning 1979 Camaro which comes with a factory numbers matching 305 engine and is coupled with a 4 speed manual transmission which is original to the car as well with numbers matching. This Camaro features a beautiful repaint in factory Black, a restored black vinyl interior, the original numbers matching 305 engine, and the original numbers matching 4 speed manual transmission. This Camaro is very solid with great lines and gaps and has no rust issues or bubbling paint anywhere around the car. This Camaro is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Black over Black vinyl interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag pictured above. This Camaro was restored around 18 years ago and numerous receipts come with the car. The previous family had the car for over 30 years and mainly used it for local shows and good weather driving. The 90,759 miles are shown as “Actual” on the clean Ohio title.
Exterior
The Black exterior is in very nice restored condition. This Camaro was treated to a professional repaint in Factory Black and shows very well and still looks fresh. The paint is in great condition and both bumpers are in excellent shape with no faded paint or spider webbing in the paint. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires have near full tread left and are sized 215/70/14 and the OEM rally wheels are restored and are in excellent like new condition. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in great condition. Trunk is very solid and clean with a new trunk mat, full size matching tire which is like new in usable condition. The original jack and lug wrench are still in place. The trunk light works. The underside is clean and honest with no visible rust. The body and underside is very solid and there are no rust bubbles anywhere and no cracked paint. New rear leaf spring were added.
Interior
The Black vinyl interior of this Camaro is in great restored condition. The seat covers are like new with no major wear, seam splits, or rips or tears. The carpet was replaced and in new condition with no major stains, rips, or holes. The door panels are in excellent condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The dash is in excellent condition with no cracks or fading and the dash bezel is in great condition as well. The upgraded Alpine CD stereo works well and the rear speakers were upgraded with new units and the system sounds awesome. The package tray is like new and was replaced. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should, outside of the clock. The tach does not read correctly and jumps around. The horn, wipers, stereo, and cigarette lighter work. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.
Mechanical
This Camaro is in great mechanical condition and still hosts its original 305 engine, see engine vin stamp in the gallery above. The original numbers matching 4 speed manual transmission is still in place and shifts very well. We have driven this Camaro numerous times around town and it always performs well, does not run hot, rides tight, and is a true joy to drive. The clutch shifts smoothly. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs well. This Camaro is an great driver that feels good on the road and at highway speeds. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs good. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. This Camaro has upgraded dual exhaust which has a nice rumble at idle and cruising speeds. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. This is a factory non AC car which really cleans up the engine bay area and adds to performance.
