Cincy Classic Cars is very proud to offer this Stunning 1977 Factory W72 4 Speed Trans AM which still retains its original numbers matching Pontiac 400 engine and 4 speed manual transmission with low “Actual” miles of 74,393. This fully documented Trans Am was the king of the mountain for 1977 performance and is very original with just some wear items replaced and one professional repaint. The window sticker and numerous dealer documents and books fully authenticate this special TA as being legit and the real deal. This special TA features a very nice repaint in factory silver, an original fantastic white/black deluxe vinyl interior, the original factory drive line, the window sticker, and several dealer docs and books. This Trans Am has no visible rust anywhere and is very solid with great lines and gaps. There is no bubbling or cracked paint anywhere on the body. The underside is original and very solid with no rust anywhere. There are no rust concerns anywhere on the frame, floors, rockers, trunk, or tail panel. This Trans Am is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Silver over White/Black deluxe vinyl interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag pictured above and included Window Sticker. These special low production 4 Speed Trans Am’s are some of the most sought after collectible TA’s on the market. They continue to increase in value and desirability. The color combination is stunning and very unique and one I have never seen before in person or on line.
Exterior
The Silver exterior is in beautiful restored condition. This Trans Am features a repaint in Factory Silver paint which is in very nice overall condition and shows well. This TA has all original sheet metal with no known patches or repairs and the decals were replaced after the repaint and look great on the car. The paint is in good condition and has a nice gloss and is smooth to the touch and there are no signs of visible rust anywhere on the body or underneath and both bumpers are in great shape with no flaking paint. The tires are older with good tread left and the 15×7 Snowflake wheels are OEM originals and are in very nice original condition and not restored. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in good condition. Trunk is very solid and clean with the original space saver spare tire, jack, inflator bottle, and a very nice original trunk mat.
Interior
The White/Black deluxe vinyl interior of this Trans Am is original and in excellent overall condition. The original seat covers are in great condition with no major wear. These are not replacements but factory original vinyl covers. The carpet is original with no major stains, rips, or holes. The original dash is in superb condition with no cracks, no warping, and no fading. The dash bezel is original and looks beautiful in the car and is in spectacular condition. The original AM/FM stereo with additional 8 track player remains in the car and works very well and both units were rebuilt recently. The center dash and rear speaker were replaced and sound great. The original door panels are in great condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner is in great condition with no rips and is not sagging at all. The package tray is in great shape. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should outside of the tach. but a new tach comes with the car. The horn, stereo, wipers, and blower motor on all speeds works. The warning buzzers and lights all work and so does the blinker indicator lights. Everything works on this car outside of the tach and clock. Reverse lock out linkage is still in place from the factory and the car must be in reverse to remove the keys. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever and look how clean that ashtray is.
Mechanical
This Trans Am is in excellent mechanical condition with low miles of 74,393 Actual Miles. Most importantly the original Pontiac W72 400 engine and original 4 speed manual transmission are still in the car with matching numbers. True dual exhaust with headers was added which gives this TA a nice rumble at idle and cruising speeds. The emergency brake works well which is nice to have with a 4 speed car. This TA runs and drives very well. In the video one can observe this car running and idling perfectly. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs great. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. A new starter was installed with new front shocks. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. There is a lot of originality under the hood and throughout the car. There are numerous original paint dobs, markings, hoses, clamps, decals, etc. in the engine bay and underneath the car. This is a factory NON AC car which really cleans up the engine bay and enhances performance.
