Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this stunning 1965 Chevy Impala SS which is in beautiful fully restored condition and priced to sell. Per the vin this Impala is a Factory Super Sport 2 door sport coupe built in Norwood Ohio. This Impala has been primarily used as a local car show attendee with numerous show awards and trophies to its credit. This Impala has been driven to numerous shows and some long distance trips, like the power tour. With the 327 300 HP engine and 4 speed transmission this Impala is a blast to drive. This Impala has been treated to some costly sought after upgrades which are detailed below. This Impala has been nicely restored over the years and features a nice repaint in White, a restored red vinyl interior, a great running Chevy 327 engine, and a smooth shifting 4 speed manual transmission. This Impala is finished in the color combination of White exterior over Red vinyl interior. This Impala was owned for over 16 years by one family and restored over those years and lovingly cared for and driven to numerous local car shows and truly enjoyed.
Exterior
The White exterior is in beautiful restored condition. This Impala features a professional paint job that is in excellent condition although painted over 15 years ago. The paint is in great condition and has a nice gloss and great shine and is smooth to the touch. The bright work and trim around the car all are in excellent condition.
The emblems all look great as well. The body is very solid and there are no signs of visible rust anywhere on underneath. Both bumpers are in great shape with very nice chrome and shine nicely. All tail light lenses and bezels were just replaced with brand new reproduction pieces. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but nothing was intentionally excluded from the photos. The BF Goodrich tires have great tread left and the Cragar wheels are like nice and shine like new with no curb rash. All weather stripping and window sweeps have been replaced and are in good condition. Trunk is solid and clean with the original jack and with an original style correct trunk mat and spare tire.
Interior
The Red vinyl interior of this Impala is in restored excellent overall condition. The seat covers are like new with no noticeable wear, no rips, or seam splits. The carpet is in good condition with no major stains, rips, or holes. The dash is in excellent condition with no cracks, no warping, and no fading. The upgraded digital stereo sounds great in the car with newer rear and front dash speakers. The original radio comes with the car. Thankfully the dash has not been cut for a modern stereo. The door panels are in great condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner and package tray are both in good overall condition. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should outside of the cigarette lighter and clock. The horn, stereo, wipers, and blower motor all work. This car was recently upgraded to classic auto air conditioning and it works very well and blows very cold air. All settings work and it looks great in the car. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever. An extra painless 7 circuit was added for additional accessories to be added if desired.
Mechanical
This Impala is in excellent mechanical condition and the 327 engine with 4 speed manual transmission is an excellent cruising combination. Based on all the numbers that are present this Impala has a correct engine and 4 speed transmission but the serial vin number was lost during an engine rebuild in the past. This Impala has been treated to several performance upgrades which really enhances the performance and driving characteristics of this Impala. A new MSD performance distributor was added with a newer Edelbrock Carb. An AC style radiator was added with an AC clutch fan and AC fan Shroud. The brakes were converted to power disc brakes with a new master cylinder and new hoses, lines, calipers, pads, etc. The braking on this Impala is excellent. The front suspension has been rebuilt and a new steering box was added. 2″ drop spindles were added. The transmission works great and a new centerforce clutch was added and the wide ratio Muncie 4 speed shifts well. The exhaust was recently replaced with Flowmaster exhaust with new ceramic coated headers which gives this Impala a nice rumble at idle and cruising speeds. The emergency brake works as it should. A newer battery was added. We have driven this car numerous times and it always performs well, it does not run hot, it rides well, and is always a joy to drive. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs well. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs good. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should and were recently serviced. Also, the engine is very clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos.
