Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this stunning One Owner 1986 El Camino SS Choo Choo edition which is in fantastic stock condition with very low actual miles of 33,823. This SS El Camino is 1 of approximately 995 Choo Choo El Camino’s which were converted in Chattanooga Tennessee in the year 1986. The original correct conversion Choo Choo decal is still located in the drivers door jamb and the original invoice and several other dealer documents validate this as a true Choo Choo conversion. Amazingly the Choo Choo stayed with the original owner until his recent passing and I bought this car from his widow. The miles are original and this car was always stored indoors. This El Camino features a recent profession re paint in factory black paint with added maroon metallic, an original spectacular interior, the original numbers matching complete drive line, see engine vin stamp photo, and numerous original dealer documents. This El Camino is very solid and has no visible rust anywhere around the truck and is very solid with great lines and gaps. This El Camino is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Black over Burgundy Cloth interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the rpo label.

Exterior

The Black Cherry exterior is in spectacular stock condition. This El Camino was repainted in last few years in factory black with added Maroon metallic and gives it a Black Cherry look in the sun and black in the shade. The paint is in excellent overall fresh condition and the decals are new and the trim is in great shape. There are no signs of visible rust anywhere around the truck and no bubbling or cracked paint. This El Camino is one of the 995 which were converted into Choo Choo special editions. Unique Choo Choo front bumper, trim, hood, and decals were added as part of the package. Both bumpers are in great overall condition. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires have nearly full tread left and the wheels are OEM originals and are in great overall shape and have no curb rash. The rear cargo compartment and spare tire storage area are both solid and clean and the original spare tire is still in place with the original jack and lug wrench. The rear tail gate works properly and is very solid.

Interior

The Burgundy Cloth interior of this El Camino is original and in terrific condition. This Choo Choo features the upgraded sporty bucket seats with floor shifter. The seat covers are factory originals and in excellent condition with no major wear, stains, or seam splits. The carpet is original and looks great with no major stains, rips, or holes. The original dash is in excellent condition with no cracks or fading and the gauges are crisp and clear. The original digital AM/FM cassette stereo works great in this El Camino and thankfully the dash has not been cut for a modern stereo. The original door panels are in great condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner is in like new condition and not sagging at all. All interior lights and gauges work as they should and the cigarette lighter works as well. The horn, stereo, wipers, power windows, and blower motor on all speeds all work. This El Camino has factory air conditioning and all components remain in place but currently the system is not blowing cold air. The AC was converted to R134 in 2003 but needs a recharge from the look of things. The heater works properly.

Mechanical

This El Camino is in great mechanical condition and the original drive line is still in this truck. A new battery was just installed. The original 305 engine runs strong and has more power than one would expect. The very low miles are branded “Actual” on the current Ohio title at 33,823 miles. We have driven this El Camino several times and it drives very nicely, it does not run hot, rides very tight, and is a true joy to drive. There are no rattles or annoying noises and this truck drives as only a low mile original survivor truck can. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. The engine bay is very unmolested and is very factory correct and a lot of the lines, hoses, and wires are factory original. The exhaust is original and has some small holes and splits in the pipes. Its still functional but old and original. Factory original air shocks are still in place with factory tags still present. This El Camino has been loved and meticulously cared for by its one owner who ordered the truck when it was brand new. The outstanding originality of this El Camino and the way it drives is a true testament to the prior owner’s care and love for this special El Camino.
