Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this stunning Factory 1981 Camaro Z28 which is in fantastic overall condition with low actual miles of 81,869. This Z28 has had three owners from new and was originally purchased in Davis OK and was Lady owned from new till 2014. Always a southern car until 9/2021 when it came to Ohio. This Z28 is very solid with excellent body lines and gaps with no rust or bubbling paint anywhere. Frame and under carriage is also very solid with no patches or rust issues anywhere. This Z28 comes with factory Air Conditioning and the AC was serviced in the past and has a new compressor and currently blows cold air. This Z28 is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of dark blue (code 29) exterior over Silver interior (code 15D) which is a stunning color combination. Its a beautiful color scheme which I have never seen in person. The build sheet was found in 2019 behind the rear seat during a full car detail. A partial service record book comes with the car with several handwritten entries and records of work performed.
Exterior
The Dark Blue exterior is in terrific restored condition. This Z28 was treated to a professional repaint in 2006 and still shows very well. The paint quality is excellent and has an excellent gloss and is smooth to the touch. The paint is in great overall condition and has a deep shine and is a beautiful color. The body is very solid and the gaps and lines are excellent. Both bumpers are in great shape with no flaking or faded paint. The decals are in good shape and really accent the car and Z28 package. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires have full tread left and have DOT codes of 4519 which means they were made on the 45th week of 2019. The Z28 wheels are OEM originals which are in excellent shape. Trunk is very solid and clean with the original trunk mat, the original never used spare tire, and the original jack and lug wrench. There is dent in the bottom of the passenger side rocker due to a jacking incident. It is very low on the car and isolated to the rocker and could be fixed if so desired but is mostly out of sight.
Interior
The Silver cloth interior of this Z28 is in fantastic condition. The seat covers appear to be original and are in great shape with no major wear. The carpet is in excellent shape with no major stains, rips, or holes. The dash is in excellent overall condition and the dash bezel is in great condition as well. The stereo was upgraded to a cd player and works and sounds good. The door panels appear to be originals and are in excellent condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner is in excellent shape and not sagging at all and was replaced. The package tray is in good condition but has some fading and is original. All gauges and lights are in working order as is blower motor, power window, and power door locks, but the clock is not working. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.
Mechanical
This Z28 is in great mechanical condition and still retains its original 350 engine which drives well and has good power. Much attention was spent to keeping the car stock under the hood and the air pump is still in tact and all emissions and smog items appear to be in operation and in tact. In 2019 new spark plug wires were added and cap and rotor. Also new fluids and filters were changed and brakes were serviced at that same time. Front and rear shocks were added in 2019. The factory computer system seems to all be in place still and working properly. In 2006 new leaf springs were added. Heater core and heater hoses were replaced during that same time. We have driven this Z28 numerous times on the streets and highways and it always performs very well, does not run hot, rides tight, and is a true joy to drive. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs very well. This Z28 is an great driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs great. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should and were serviced in 2019. The radiator was replaced in 2006. Factory style exhaust is still in place with the factory Cat. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. This is a factory AC car and all factory parts are present and currently the system is blowing cold air and working properly. This Z28 has been loved and meticulously cared for by its past three owners and is so much fun to drive and gets a lot of attention due to its sticking color combination. The great way this Z28 looks and drives is a true testament to prior owners care and love for this special car.
