Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this amazing 1981 Pontiac Turbo TA which is in superb original stock condition with only 21,630 Actual Miles. This TA stayed with its second owners for over 35 years and was used sparingly for car shows and the like. This TA features beautiful stock Dark Blue Metallic paint, an original Black vinyl deluxe interior, The original 301 Turbo engine with automatic transmission, and the original window sticker and build sheet and several dealer books and brochures. This TA is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Blue paint over Black Vinyl Deluxe interior. The very low miles are not only validated by the overall condition of this fantastic TA but also the included clean car fax and the Ohio title showing actual miles.
This 1981 Pontiac Firebird Turbo Trans Am is finished in Dark Blue Metallic over black vinyl deluxe upholstery and is powered by a turbocharged 301ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes 15″ Snowflake wheels, removable glass T-top roof panels, and 4 wheel disc brakes, air conditioning, an AM/FM/ 8 track stereo, power windows, cruise control, and Megnaflow exhaust mufflers. This Turbo Trans Am is now offered in Ohio with a copy of the window sticker, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Ohio title.
The car is finished in Dark Blue Metallic and features blue Firebird graphics on the hood and C-pillars as well as factory-installed bright door-edge guards and body-side moldings with black vinyl accents. Additional exterior details include removable glass T-top roof panels, quad headlights, a reverse hood scoop, and a front air dam in addition to fender vents, a rear spoiler, and polished quad exhaust outlets.
Polished 15″ Snowflake wheels wear chrome center caps with Firebird crests and are wrapped in original Uniroyal radial white-letter tires. These are the original tires from 1981 and they still roll and show well but are not suggested for high speed driving. Another testament to validate the low miles on the car.
The front bucket seats and rear bench are upholstered in black vinyl with black piping, and engine-turned trim accents the dashboard. Appointments include air conditioning, an AM/FM/ 8 track stereo, cruise control, a rear window defroster, and power windows and door locks. A trunk release button is housed in the glove box. Everything tested works on this special TA including the cigarette lighter, clock and door locks.
The three-spoke steering wheel is mounted to a tilting column and fronts a tachometer with an inset analog clock, an 85-mph speedometer, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level. A factory turbocharger boost pressure indicator is visible inside the hood scoop. The five-digit odometer shows 21,630 miles. The turbo light switch works properly on low and high and off positions.
The 301ci V8 is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and an oil-cooled Garrett TB305 turbocharger. Factory-rated output was at 200 horsepower and 340 lb-ft of torque. This is the original engine and a photo of the vin stamp on the engine block is in the gallery.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. Upgraded performance Megnaflow exhaust mufflers were installed under prior ownership, and factory rust proofing undercoating is shown up close in the gallery below.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage. This Turbo TA shows very well in factory Dark Blue Paint with desired T Tops and a host of ordered options. The deluxe black vinyl interior is original and in excellent condition and still smells new.
