Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1979 Pontiac Trans Am which is in restored condition and has been transformed into a Smokey and the Bandit tribute TA. This Trans Am features a nice repaint in Starlight Black with new S. E. decals, a beautiful Camel deluxe vinyl restored interior, brand new Year One snowflake wheels and tires, and a nice running 403 engine with rebuilt transmission. This Trans Am is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Starlight Black with SE decals and pinstripes over Camel Tan deluxe vinyl interior. This tribute TA is about half the cost of a factory SE TA.

Exterior

The Starlight Black exterior is in nice restored condition. This Trans Am was treated to a professional repaint in Starlight Black with all new decals and Special Edition pin stripping and shows well and was recently completed.
The paint is in good condition and was changed from factory Solar Gold to the now Bandit Tribute. There is no bubbling paint or cracked paint on the body and the gaps and lines are good. Both bumpers are in excellent shape with no flaking or faded paint and the nose crest was just changed and so were the front bumper grills. The decals are in excellent shape and like new. This TA was fitted with 4 new wheel flares prior to the repaint and they are in like new condition and look great and fit excellent. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. Tires are literally brand new with less than 10 miles on them and correctly sized 225/70/15 and the 8″ snowflake wheels are brand new Year One reproductions and the center caps and lug nuts are all brand new as well, see included receipts. All weather stripping and window sweeps are newer and in great condition. Trunk is very solid and clean with the original style felt trunk mat. The rear tail panel has a few welded in patches and the floors have been properly repaired with welded in patches in three areas.

Interior

The Camel Tan deluxe vinyl interior of this Trans Am has been fully restored by a professional shop. The Bandit tribute theme continues to the interior with the gold tinted dash bezel, gold horn button, gold shifter knob insert, and gold emblems on the door panels. The front seat covers have been replaced and are like new with no noticeable wear. The carpet is like new as well with no stains, rips, or holes. The dash pad is in excellent condition with no cracks or fading and the dash bezel is in excellent condition as well. The door panels are brand new and in perfect condition and the arm rests are new and the door handle cups and door lock pulls are all new. The headliner and package tray have also been replaced and both are in like new condition. All interior lights and gauges work as they should outside of the clock and the tach reads a little high sometimes. The horn, wipers, power windows, and blower motor all work. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.

Mechanical

This Trans Am is in good mechanical condition and the 403 engine runs and drives well. The automatic transmission was completely rebuilt in 2016 for a cost of just over $1000. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs well. This Trans Am is a good driver that feels good on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs good. The brakes have been recently serviced with new pads and new master cylinder. True dual exhaust was added and gives this TA and nice rumble at idle and cruising speeds and new splitter tips were just installed. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. This is a factory AC car and it appears that all the factory components are still on the car but the AC belt has been removed so currently the AC is not functional. The compressor is not locked up and the clutch spins freely. This is a fun TA to have and gets a lot of looks and a ton of attention at the fraction of the cost of a factory special edition TA.
