Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1979 Platinum Silver TA with black deluxe hobnail interior with low actual miles of 46,129. This TA is a factory WS6 TA which includes 4 wheel disk brakes, 8″ snowflake wheels, and a better suspension package. This TA features beautiful factory silver paint with new decals, an excellent original deluxe hobnail interior, a great running 403 engine, and the original window sticker and build sheet and many original dealer documents. This Trans Am is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Silver(code 15) over black hobnail deluxe interior (code 19B). This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag pictured above and build sheet and window sticker. This is an excellent factory color combination and really stands out in the crowd. This TA was rust proofed when new by Rust Ban, see sticker and receipt. The low miles are documented with the current Ohio title showing the miles as actual and in 1994 the miles are shown as 29K on the midas receipt. The 2016 oil change receipt shows the next oil change is due at 48K miles. Tires have been on since 1999 which supports the few miles driven since they were installed. The original dealer key fob is still on the key chain.

Exterior

The Silver exterior is in excellent overall restored condition. This Trans Am was treated to a professional repaint some years ago with new decals and a new front bumper emblem and new bumper grills. The paint is in excellent overall condition with no signs of visible rust on the body and the underside is solid with no patches. The paint is smooth to the touch and has a great shine and excellent gloss. The decals look new overall and were replaced after car was painted. There may be some imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but nothing was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires were added in 1999 so they are old but do drive ok but should be replaced if car is to be regularly driven. The factory WS6 8″ OEM snowflake wheels are in good overall original condition. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in good condition. Trunk is very solid and clean with the original space saver spare tire, correct jack and accessories, and the original inflator bottle. The original speaker insulation box is still in place which is a very rare sight. Original 6×9 speakers are still in place.

Interior

The black hobnail deluxe interior of this Trans Am is in terrific original condition. This TA is loaded with factory ordered options like, WS6, AC, power windows, power locks, tilt wheel, deluxe interior, etc. The original seat covers are in excellent overall condition with no noticeable wear, no rips, and no seam splits. The carpet is in like new condition with no major stains, rips, or holes and looks great in the car. The original dash is in near mint condition with no cracks, no warping, and no fading. The original dash bezel is in great condition too. The original radio looks great in the car and sounds good but is a little finicky. The original door are in great condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner is in great overall condition. The package tray is in great condition as well with original speaker grills. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should. Auxiliary outputs were added for power. The plastic a arm piece is still in place on the passenger side. This piece is normally only seen on low mile original cars, see pics. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.

Mechanical

This Trans Am is in great mechanical condition and runs and drives well and has good power. The 403 engine runs great and has plenty of power and this TA runs and drives well. The brakes work well and do not pull from side to side. A new master cylinder was added not long ago. The exhaust was upgraded with new magnaflow mufflers and new piping from the cat back which gives this TA a nice rumble at idle and cruising speeds. In the video one can observe this car running and driving and shifting through the gears. This Trans Am fires right up and holds idle quickly and runs and drives well. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. New rear shocks were added. Also, the engine bay is clean and very stock original condition. Many original hoses, stickers, clamps, and markings are still in place. This is a factory AC car and all the components are still in place but currently the system does not blow cold air. It appears to need a fresh charge as it has in the past to blow cold again.
