Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1979 4 Speed 400 Trans AM which is in nicely restored condition and priced to sell. This Trans Am features a beautiful repaint in factory Heritage Brown with new decals, a nice camel interior, and an upgraded Pontiac 400 engine. This TA was born with a Pontiac 301 engine and was upgraded with a Pontiac 400 engine about 13 years ago. This Trans Am is solid overall with good lines and gaps. This Trans Am is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Heritage Brown (code 69)over Camel Tan (code 62r) vinyl interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag pictured above.

Exterior

The Heritage Brown exterior is in super restored condition. This Trans Am was treated to a professional repaint in factory Heritage Brown with all new decals about 10 years ago and still looks fresh. The paint is in great condition and looks very nice and both bumpers are in good shape with no flaking or faded paint. The decals look new and are in excellent shape. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but nothing was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires have nearly full tread and are correctly sized 225/70/15 and the 7″ snowflake wheels are OEM originals and are in good shape. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in good condition. Trunk is solid overall and clean with and original style felt trunk mat.

Interior

The Camel Tan vinyl interior of this Trans Am is in great overall condition. The seat covers have been replaced and are like new with no noticeable wear anywhere. The carpet was replaced too and a dark brown color was selected and has no stains, rips, or holes. The original dash is in good overall condition but does have a small repair as seen in the photos. The Pioneer cassette stereo was upgraded years ago and an EQ was added and the system sound good. Thankfully the dash has not been cut for a modern stereo. The original door panels are in good shape and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner and package tray are both in great condition. All interior lights and gauges work as they should outside of the clock. The horn, stereo, wipers and stereo work. The blower motor is not working as some of the AC components have been removed. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.

Mechanical

This Trans Am is in good mechanical condition and runs and drives well. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs well. This Trans Am is a good driver that feels good on the road. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. True dual exhaust was installed on this TA and headers were added as well. An Edelbrock intake was added as was a mini starter. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. This is a factory AC car but some of the AC parts were removed years ago so the system is not functional.
