Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this Stunning 1979 Corvette which is in beautiful overall condition with low actual miles of 27,877. This Corvette was owned until 2017 by the original owner who was getting up there in age and needed to sell to the second owner who lived near by. This Corvette features a very nice repaint, a terrific original cloth interior, a fantastic color combination, and the original great running 350 engine. This Corvette is very solid with great lines and gaps and shows no signs of visible rust anywhere around the car or underneath the car. This Corvette is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Dark Blue over Dark Blue cloth. This is the factory color scheme as verified by the door pictured above. The very low miles are not only evident by the amazing condition of this fine Corvette but also by the Ohio title showing the miles as “Actual.” The previous Kentucky title has the miles as 27,577 in 2017.
Exterior
The Dark Blue exterior is in excellent restored stock condition. This Corvette was repainted around 5 years ago and still shows very well today. The paint is in great overall condition and has an excellent gloss with a smooth touch and deep shine. Its a very attractive color scheme which really compliments the lines of this special Corvette. There is no rust anywhere around this car and the underside is very rust free as well. Thankfully the underside is clean and honest and not covered up by cans of cheap spray paint. Both bumpers are in great overall shape. There may be some minor imperfections around the car that may not noticeable in the photos, but nothing was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires have excellent thread and drive well and are sized 255/60/15 and the wheels are OEM originals and in good shape and shine nicely. The t tops come on and off nicely and fit snug and do not rattle while driving. The headlights go up and down but are slow to rise and sometimes need help, there appears to be a vacuum leak at the headlight switch. I will try to address and fix the vacuum leak. The frame and underneath of this car is extremely solid and very clean and honest.
Interior
The Dark Blue cloth interior of this Corvette is in wonderful original condition. The cloth seat covers are in excellent condition with no major rips, seam splits, or excessive wear and are are factory original covers. The carpet is in good overall condition and is original as well. The original dash is in excellent condition with no fading or cracks and the dash bezel is in great condition as well. The stereo was upgraded to a modern Retro Sound digital player that sounds great and comes with a 12 disc cd player with connections in the storage area and a control pad by the console. The power antenna works just fine with the new stereo and goes up and down easily as seen in the video. The original steering wheel is in great condition. The original door panels are in excellent condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should outside of the clock and the oil pressure sending unit appears to need replaced. The horn, stereo, power windows, rear defrost, and fan blower also work. This Corvette has cruise control as well. The factory AC system is still in tact and currently blows cold and worked all last summer for the previous owner. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.
Mechanical
This Corvette is in great mechanical condition and we have driven it numerous times and it always performs extremely well and is a true joy to drive, especially with the t tops off on a sunny day. The original owner of this Corvette kept meticulous care of this special car and drove it sparingly throughout his 38 years of ownership.
Most importantly the original 350 engine remains in the car with matching vin stamp, see photo. The exhaust sounds good at idle and cruising speeds. This corvette rides very tight with no odd rattles or squeaks as a low mile car should. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs extremely well. This Corvette is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs great. The choke works properly on the carb. with high idle at the beginning and lower idle as the car warms up. The brakes were recently serviced with new front calipers and brake hoses and they do not pull and stop well. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos.
