Cincy Classic Cars is proud to share this factory 1978 Ford Mustang Cobra II with sought after factory T Tops. This Cobra features a terrific re paint in White with Blue Billboard Cobra II decals, a mostly stock interior, a good running 302 engine with an upgraded 5 speed manual transmission, and numerous receipts and manuals. A Marti report documents this special Cobra and the buck tag is present too. This Mustang is very solid with no visible rust any where and the underside is very solid too. This car has great lines and gaps and shows very well. The factory radiator buck tag is still in place with the “CB” stamped on the tag proving this car to be a factory Cobra. The included Marti report shows this Mustang to be a Factory Cobra as well. The rear window louvers and side window louvers are in excellent shape. Â Â
Exterior:
The White paint is in great overall condition and the decals were replaced and the exterior shows nicely. Car was painted a few years ago and still looks fresh and is a very attractive color combination. There is no visible rust and no known patches around the car. The bumpers are in excellent shape with no flaking paint with new rubber inserts, the rear bumper is a new reproduction. Wheels have been restored and look like new and new tires were added a few years ago and have full tread left. The tires are sized 205/60/13 and the center caps look new. The rear hatch works as it should and all weather stripping and window sweeps are in excellent condition. The hatch struts hold up the hatch easily. The Factory T Tops come on and off easily and are an excellent option on these Mustangs. The original t top bag is still with this special car.
Interior:
The white/black vinyl interior of this Mustang is in great mostly stock condition. The seat covers were replaced and are in excellent condition and show no excessive wear. The door panels were replaced and are in great shape and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The carpet was replaced and shows no holes, rips, or stains. The headliner was replaced and is is in like new shape and not sagging with no rips or stains. The stereo works and thankfully the dash has not been cut for a modern stereo. Interior lights and exterior lights work as does the horn. All gauges and blower motor works. Wipers work. This car has not been smoked in, there is no smoke aroma what so ever.
Mechanical:
This Mustang is in great overall mechanical condition. The 302 engine runs great and shows well and the upgraded 5 speed manual transmission shifts great and really adds to the driving experience. This Mustang runs and drives nicely and has plenty of power. True dual exhaust was added recently and gives this Cobra a healthy muscle car sound at idle and cruising speeds. A new fuel tank and sending unit was recently installed with new rubber fuel lines and a new fuel pump was added too. The brakes work very well and stop as they should with no pulling from side to side. A new steering rack was added and other steering components. A high performance starter was added. The engine bay area is nicely detailed as seen in the photos. Underside is very solid with no visible patches noticed and no rust concerns are visible.
