Cincy Classic Cars is very proud to offer this Stunning 1977 Factory W72 4 Speed Trans AM which still retains its original numbers matching Pontiac 400 engine and 4 speed manual transmission with low “Actual” miles of 36,697. This fully documented Trans Am was the king of the mountain for 1977 performance and is very original with just some wear items replaced and one professional repaint. The included build sheet, window sticker, original bill or sale, PHS Documents, Copies of titles from each of its 3 owners, and numerous other dealer documents fully authenticate this special TA as being legit and the real deal. This 3 owner TA has only been driven 2000 miles in the last 16 years. This special TA features a beautiful professional repaint in factory buccaneer red, an original fantastic black vinyl interior, the original factory drive line, the factory build sheet, window sticker, and bill of sale documentation. This Trans Am has no visible rust anywhere and is very solid with great lines and gaps and was Ziebarted rust proofed when new. There is no bubbling or cracked paint anywhere on the body. The underside is original and very solid with now rust anywhere. There are no rust concerns anywhere on the frame, floors, rockers, trunk, or tail panel. This Trans Am is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Buccaneer Red (code 75) over Black (code 19R) vinyl interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag pictured above and included Build Sheet. These special low production 4 Speed Trans Am’s are some of the most sought after collectible TA’s on the market. They continue to increase in value and desirability.

Exterior

The Red exterior is in beautiful fully restored condition. This Trans Am features a repaint in Factory Buccaneer Red paint which is in excellent condition and shows very well. This TA has all original sheet metal with no patches or repairs and the decals were replaced after the repaint and look like new on the car. The paint is in wonderful condition and has a high gloss and smooth touch and there are no signs of visible rust anywhere on the body or underneath and both bumpers are in great shape with no flaking paint. There is no bubbling paint or any signs of rust on the body and the metal is all original sheet metal with no signs or rust repairs. The underside is honest and rust free. This TA was rust proofed with Ziebart when new. The Uniroyal tires are factory original tires from 1977 and still hold air and the 7″ factory Rally wheels are OEM originals and are in very nice original condition and not restored. If the new owner wishes to drive this TA on a regular basis we highly suggest to get a set of new tires and keep these factory original tires in safe keeping. All weather stripping and window sweeps were replaced after the repaint and in like new condition. Trunk is very solid and clean with the original space saver spare tire, jack, and inflator bottle, with a replacement trunk mat.

Interior

The Black vinyl interior of this Trans Am is original and in excellent overall condition. The original seat covers are in great condition with no major wear. These are not replacements but factory original vinyl covers. The carpet is original with no major stains, rips, or holes, but is faded in several areas. The original dash is in superb condition with no cracks, no warping, and no fading. The dash bezel is original and looks beautiful in the car and is in spectacular condition. The stereo has been upgraded to a JVC CD player with newer 6×9 rear speakers and a newer center dash speaker and sounds excellent. The original door panels are in great condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner was just replaced and is like new. The package tray is original and in great shape. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should. The horn, stereo, wipers, and blower motor on all speeds works. The warning buzzers and lights all work and so does the blinker indicator lights. Everything works on this car outside of the clock. Reverse lock out linkage is still in place from the factory and the car must be in reverse to remove the keys. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever and look how clean that ashtray is.

Mechanical

This Trans Am is in excellent mechanical condition with low miles of 36,697 Actual Miles. Most importantly the original Pontiac W72 400 engine and original 4 speed manual transmission are still in the car with matching numbers. True dual exhaust with Headman ceramic coated headers was added which gives this TA a nice rumble at idle and cruising speeds. The emergency brake was replaced and worked perfectly but recently came apart. This TA runs and drives very well. In the video one can observe this car running and idling perfectly. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs great. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should and were recently serviced. A new radiator was installed at 35,000 miles. Carb. was rebuilt in 2017. New fuel filter, air filter and oil filter and oil were recently installed. Also, the engine is very clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. There is a lot of originality under the hood and throughout the car. This is a factory NON AC car which really cleans up the engine bay and enhances performance.
