This 1977 Chevrolet Corvette was purchased in 1985 by the second owner and the Poe family kept the car until 2021. This vette had 33,346 miles when purchased in 1985 and was last registered by the Poe family in 1997. From 1997 till 2021 the car remained stored in their home garage. The Poe family added about 6,000 total miles in their 37 years of ownership. In 2021 the car was sold to the third owner with 39K miles. Finished in Dark Blue over Blue Cloth, the car is powered by the original 350ci V8 paired with a three-speed Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission. Features include T-top roof panels, Rallye wheels, power windows, air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, and a Delco AM/FM stereo. Service since October 2021 includes changing all brake calipers, brake pads, brake hoses, and a new master cylinder. A new alternator and battery were added. This C3 Corvette is offered in Ohio at no reserve with a 1985 purchase order, manufacturer’s literature, and a clean Ohio title in the selling dealers name.
The fiberglass bodywork is finished in believed to be mostly original Dark Blue paint and features removable T-top roof panels and pop-up headlights that are shown raised in the video below. Factory 15″ Rallye wheels wear original trim rings with center caps and are mounted with original style Uniroyal tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel discs. An October 2019 service included a brake-fluid flush and the replacement of all 4 brake calipers and the brake master cylinder.
The cabin features bucket seats that are upholstered in original blue cloth with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Equipment includes power windows, air conditioning, and a Delco AM/FM stereo. Factory instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, a clock, and auxiliary gauges measuring coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer indicates 39k miles.
The original numbers matching 350ci V8 was factory rated at 180 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission. Believed to be original exhaust is still in place on this Corvette, and more images showing the condition of the underside are presented in the gallery below.
