Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1976 Factory 400 Formula which is in great overall condition and priced to sell. The original Pontiac 400 engine remains in the car and the vin on the engine block is numbers matching. This special Formula features a nice repaint in factory Sterling Silver with replacement decals, a mostly original stock deluxe interior, the original Pontiac 400 engine, and low actual miles. This Formula has no visible rust anywhere and is very solid with great lines and gaps. The underside is extremely solid with no rust or corrosion issues and no patches or repairs. This Formula is finished in the desirable color combinations of Sterling Silver over Black Deluxe (code 19N) vinyl interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag pictured above.
Exterior
The Sterling Silver exterior is in nice restored condition. This Formula was treated to a repaint about 6 years ago in factory Sterling Silver with replacement decals. The paint is in great condition with no signs of visible rust anywhere on the body or underneath and both bumpers are in great shape with no flaking or faded paint. There is no bubbling paint anywhere on the body of this car. A new nose emblem was added along with new sail panel birds. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but nothing was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires have good tread left and are sized 235/45/17 in the front and 245/45/17 in the rear and the 17″ aftermarket chrome wheels are like new with no curb rash and the chrome shins bright. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in good condition. Trunk is very solid and clean with the original style trunk mat. The underside of this Formula is exceptionally solid with no rust issues or concerns and no patches or repairs. The underside was heavily undercoated and did a great job in protecting this bird from rust and related corrosion.
Interior
The Black deluxe vinyl interior of this Formula is in terrific mostly original condition. The original seat covers are in great condition with no major wear or fading or seam splits. These are factory original covers not some cheap aftermarket covers. The carpet appears original with no major stains, rips, or holes, but there is some wear in the driver foot well area. The dash is in good overall condition and the dash bezel is correct and looks beautiful in the car. The original style stereo works great and sounds good and thankfully the dash has not been cut for a modern stereo. The original door panels are in excellent condition and both new door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner and package tray are both in great condition. The headliner is the correct perforated material and is not sagging at all. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should including the cigarette lighter but the clock is not working. The horn, all gauges, stereo, wipers, and blower motor all work. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever. The factory ac is all there but currently does not blow cold.
Mechanical
This Formula is in great mechanical condition and the original Pontiac 400 engine is still in the car with matching vin number, see photo. This engine runs very well and car performs nicely. An original style exhaust remains under the Formula and gives this car a true muscle car sound at idle and cruising speeds. We have driven this car numerous times and it always performs well, it does not run hot, it rides tight, and is always a joy to drive. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs well. This Formula is a nice driver that feels good on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs good. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. This is a factory AC car and all the components are still in place but currently it does not blow cold air.
