Cincy Classic Cars is proud to share this 1974 Pontiac GTO which is in superb overall condition with rare factory colors. This is a rare GTO being a factory hatchback model with just over 1700 units produced in 1974. This GTO features beautiful Dark Green Metallic paint with newer decals, a mostly stock super nice green interior, a rebuilt Pontiac 400 engine, and the factory build sheet and PHS documents. This GTO is very solid with great lines and gaps. There is no rust or rust repairs and no bubbling or cracked paint. The underside is extremely solid with no rust or corrosion issues and no patches or repairs. This GTO is finished in the desirable color combinations of Dark Green over Green interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag pictured above.
Exterior
The green exterior is in fantastic restored condition. This GTO has great paint with newer decals. The paint is in excellent overall condition with no signs of visible rust anywhere on the body or underneath and both bumpers are in great shape. There is no bubbling paint anywhere on the body of this car. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but nothing was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires have full tread left and are brand new and sized 225/70/14 and the 14″ OEM rally wheels are in great restored shape. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in great condition. The hatch is very solid and clean and factory correct with the original style trunk mat, jack and lug wrench. The underside of this GTO is exceptionally solid with no rust issues or concerns and no patches or repairs.
Interior
The green interior of this GTO is in terrific mostly stock condition. The seat covers are in spectacular condition with no noticeable wear or fading or seam splits. The carpet has been replaced and is like new with no major stains, rips, or holes and is in excellent condition. The original dash is in like new condition with no cracks or warping or fading. The stereo was upgraded to a digital CD player with 6×9 box speakers in the hatch. The original door panels are in excellent condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner is in great condition. The headliner is the correct perforated material. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever. A working tach. has been added and a working temp. gauge and oil pressure gauge were added.
Mechanical
This GTO is in exceptional mechanical condition and the Pontiac 400 engine was fully rebuilt. This engine runs very well and the car performs nicely. A newer stainless steel dual exhaust system was added and gives this GTO a muscle car rumble at idle and cruising speeds. We have driven this car numerous times and it always performs well, it does not run hot, it rides tight, and is always a joy to drive. This GTO is a spectacular driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time and runs well. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should and were serviced. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. The engine bay was fully detailed and shows very well. A new starter was just installed. New spark plug wires and spark plugs were just added. New rubber fuel lines were just installed as were new heater hoses and thermostat.
