Cincy Classic Cars is very proud to offer this stunning fully restored 1972 Triumph TR6 which is beautiful overall condition with low actual miles of 77,504. Previous owner had this car for nearly 20 years and this TR6 has been slowly restored over several years beginning in 2006. On hand receipts and service records date back to 2006 and stand at a total of $20,561 in restoration records. The build is fully documented with a two inch thick stack of receipts and service records. This TR6 has been completely restored including a beautiful paint job, added Quantum Mechanics Overdrive Transmission, a restored interior, 4 newer Panasport wheels, and a complete Powerblock wire kit was installed. This TR6 is turn key and is ready for show or go. This TR6 is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Yellow exterior over Black interior. The low “Actual” mileage is not only evident by the wonderful condition of this TR6 but also by the Ohio title branding the mileage as “Actual.”

Exterior

The Yellow exterior is in fantastic restored condition. This TR6 was treated to a professional paint job and shows very well. The paint is in great condition and has an great shine and excellent gloss and is smooth to the touch. Engine was removed and the engine bay has the same level of paint as the body does. The body is very solid and the gaps and lines are terrific on this car. The underside is very solid as well and two floor patches were installed over 12 years ago. Front suspension has been restored as evident in the photos and included receipts. New Nylatron bushings were installed. The differential mounts have been reinforced and new differential mounts and bushings were installed. The mounts have gussets welding in for extra strength. Both bumpers are in excellent condition and were fully restored at a cost over $1200. They have a great shine and no visible issues. The tires have excellent tread left the Panasport wheels look absolutely fantastic on the car and are like new in every way. The convertible top was replaced and is in great condition and the top cover is in great condition as well. All weather stripping and seals are in like new condition and have been replaced. Trunk is very solid and clean. Both doors have “Triplex” original glass and both are in excellent shape and the windshield was replaced and like new. Currently the exterior door locks are not installed and plugs are set in their place.

Interior

The Black interior of this TR6 is in terrific restored condition. The seat covers are original and in great overall condition, especially for being original. Notice the perforated seat material in the photos proving original material. The seat covers are soft and the seats are very comfortable. The carpet was replaced and in excellent new condition with no major wear or holes. The door panels were replaced as well and are in like new condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. New dash top, crash pads, knobs, mirrors and dash support side panels were installed. Rear interior panels were replaced as well. The wood dash surround is like new and looks excellent in the car and was replaced as well. All upgrade/replacement receipts are included with the sale. The gauges are bright and crisp and all work properly. The blower motor, horn, and wipers all work. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever. It smells and looks new inside.

Mechanical

This TR6 is in superb mechanical condition and it runs and drives very well. Included with the sale is $20,561 worth of receipts and service records dating back to 2006. The original engine is still in this TR6 and runs and drives wonderfully. Engine number is CC 80010 U which is only 156 away from the commission number which is correct for a numbers matching original engine. Quantum Mechanics Overdrive transmission was added and really adds to the driving experience especially at higher sustained speeds. Per previous owner it has worked flawlessly since installed over 12 years ago. A complete Powerblock rewire kit was installed around 2006 and the previous owner states there have been no wiring issues at all since the install, no popped fuses or failed relays. Several new parts have been installed including: a new high output 96 amp alternator, fuel pump, gas tank, water pump, distributor, spark plug wires, crankshaft thrust washers, a new driveshaft, a new high torque Gustafson starter, etc. etc. The carbs were overhauled and perform well. We have driven this TR6 numerous times and it always performs well, does not run hot, rides tight, and is a true joy to drive. This TR6 is an excellent driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. The brakes have been serviced with a new master cylinder and they do not pull and stop as they should. Toyota 4 piston brake calipers were installed up front. The clutch was also refreshed and the car shifts smoothly without issue. The stock style exhaust looks factory and sounds great at idle and cruising speeds. Also, the engine is meticulously clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos.
