Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1970 4 Speed MGB GT with factory Overdrive with low “Actual” miles of 35,789. This GT was purchased by the previous owner in 1995 and was driven sparingly in only optimal weather over his ownership, mostly to local car shows. He purchased the car in Oklahoma where he lived and then moved the car to Ohio recently. This GT features an excellent repaint in Blaze Orange, a mostly original fantastic Black interior, the original factory drive line, and most importantly Factory Overdrive. This GT has absolutely no visible rust anywhere and is very solid with great lines and gaps. The underside was fully rust proofed when new and is very solid and rust free. There are no rust concerns anywhere on the frame, floors, rockers, or body. There is no bubbling paint, no cracked paint, or evidence of body filler on this car. This GT is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Blaze Orange over Black interior. The low “Actual” miles are not only validated by the amazing condition of this GT but also by the clear Ohio title stating the miles as “Actual.”

Exterior

The Orange exterior is in restored fantastic condition. This GT features all original sheet metal with no patches or repairs and excellent Orange paint. This GT was originally Yellow and underwent and extensive color change to Orange. Per the previous owner there was no rust repair prior to the color change, the car was totally rust free and remains rust free now. The paint is in superb condition and has been very well maintained. There are no signs of visible rust anywhere on the body or underneath and both bumpers are in good shape. The paint has a beautiful shine and excellent gloss and is very smooth to the touch. This GT was heavily under coated with rust proofing when new which did a great job of protecting this car from harsh elements and environments. The tires have excellent tread and are sized 185/70/14 and the wheels are in excellent condition. All weather stripping and window seals are in great condition. Hatch is very solid and clean with the original spare tire, jack, lug wrench, with a the original correct tool kit.

Interior

The Black interior of this GT is mostly original and in great overall condition. The original seat covers are in great condition with no excessive wear or rips. These are not replacements but factory original covers. The carpet is original with no major stains, rips, or holes. The original dash is in great condition. The stereo has been upgraded to a Sony digital cassette player which works and sounds great. The original door panels are in great condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner is in great shape and not sagging at all. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should. The stereo, wipers, and blower motor all work. The wing windows open and close properly. The horn is currently not working. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.

Mechanical

This GT is in excellent mechanical condition with low miles of 35,789. I have driven this car numerous times and it drives incredibly well and gets a lot of attention while cruising around rowing through the gears. It does everything the way its intended to per factory design and has no noticeable rattles or squeaks or odd noises. I have full confidence in the car and its a true pleasure to drive and it handles extremely well. This GT has been properly maintained over the previous owners 23 years of ownership. Recent work includes new points, rotor, spark plugs, brakes, and fuel filter. We have driven this car numerous times and it always performs well, it does not run hot, it rides tight, and is always a joy to drive. The smiles, thumbs up, and attention you get driving this car really adds to the enjoyment factor. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs well. This GT is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs excellent. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should and were recently serviced. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos.
