Has been on display at a Dayton Ohio Auto Museum for several years.
Zero rust on body panels; all were reused without any bondo. Aluminum door skins, boot, and bonnet original, as were all wings. Bumpers original. Engine bored 20 over. New crank pistons cam valves valve seats springs, original head. ARP bolts used for rebuild. All stock specs except valves for modern fuel. New water pump oil pump generator flywheel clutch pressure plate, u joints. Carbs rebuilt and tuned by John Twist himself at University Motors Grand Rapids MI
All new suspension bushings with original parts. Lever shocks rebuilt. New brake cylinders new brake lines pads rotors (disc fronts per 1600 MGA) new drums rear. New fuel tank, all new fuel lines, new fuel pump NOS.
Less than 1000 miles since resto. New rubber on splash pans with correct bent staples. Lower body trim piece painted correct body color (sign of accurate resto, as well as door card stiffener painted body color. Same radio blanking plate. Those three items telltale perfect resto. (The lower body piece is a long aluminum strip that hides the front and rear wing bolts at rockers). It’s bought pretty aluminum and people leave it that way. Wrong!
All new exhaust, including correct chrome tailpipe oriented correctly (unlike amateurs), new wooden floors exact specs, frame sandblasted (cannot be dipped as it has steel wool internal insulating material). All new wiring harness and new p-clips per original specs, original gauges restored, new body molding welting correct gray color,
