Cincy Classic Cars is proud to Share this stunning 1979 Trans Am which is in beautiful overall condition. This Trans Am features a very nice repaint in Factory Mayan Red paint with new decals and added pin stripes and body moldings, a beautiful restored to stock Camel Tan interior, and the original numbers matching 403 engine which was rebuilt, see vin stamp photo. This Trans Am is absolutely solid and has no visible rust anywhere around the car or under the car, and is very solid with great lines and gaps. The underside is in very solid condition and was rust proofed when new. This Trans Am is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Mayan Red over Camel Tan interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag pictured above. A folder of restoration receipts accompany this TA with dyno sheets showing around 325 HP and Torque on the rebuilt engine.

Exterior

The Red exterior is in fantastic restored condition. This Trans Am was professionally repainted in Mayan Red paint and still shows very well with new decals and trim. The paint is in great overall condition and there are no signs of visible rust or bubbling paint around the car. SE pin stripes were added along with new body moldings and new nose crest emblem. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. Tires have near full tread on them and the 15 x 7 inch snowflake wheels are in great restored shape with new center caps and lug nuts. The front bumper grills were replaced. All weather stripping is in great shape including the window sweeps and the door and t top seals and were replaced. The trunk is very solid and clean with an original style trunk mat and jack and spare tire and t top bags. The underside of this TA is in amazing shape, and is very solid with no rust patches or rust concerns and was rust proofed when new.

Interior

The Camel Tan interior of this Trans Am is mostly stock and in restored excellent condition. The new seat covers are in great overall shape and have no major wear or stains. The new carpet was just added and is in new condition. The original dash is in excellent condition and the dash bezel is like new as well. The Stereo has been upgraded to a AM/FM digital CD player which works and sounds great with new 6×9 speakers. The door panels were replaced and are in great condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner was replaced and is in good condition and the package tray was recently replaced and like new. All interior lights and gauges work as they should including the clock. The stereo, wipers, horn, and gauges all work. The blower motor is not working.

Mechanical

This Trans Am is in great mechanical condition and thankfully comes with the original 403 engine. The engine was fully rebuilt with dyno sheets showing around 325HP and Torque. The transmission was rebuilt as well and shifts nicely. The rear end was upgraded and rebuilt. New front and rear shocks were added. The Dual exhaust has been upgraded to include Dynomax mufflers and Hooker Headers which adds a nice rumble at idle and cruising speeds. An aluminum radiator has been added. We have driven this TA numerous times on the streets and highways and it always performs very well, does not run hot, rides tight, and is a true joy to drive. This Trans Am is a great driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs great. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. Several chrome pieces have tastefully been added under the hood for impact at car shows. This is a factory non AC car which really cleans up the engine bay and adds to performance.
