Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this mostly original 1998 Pontiac Formula which is in fantastic original condition with low actual miles of 72,559. This Formula is extremely rare being only 1 of 4 every produced in Sport Metallic Gold paint with a 6 speed manual transmission. This Formula has never left the greater Cincinnati area and comes with a clean car fax. This Formula features original Gold paint, a nice pewter cloth original interior, the original LS1 350 engine, and the very sought after factory 6 speed manual transmission. This Formula is absolutely solid and has no visible rust anywhere around the car or under the car, and is very solid with great lines and gaps. Its believed that this Formula has never had any body work done and is all original sheet metal. This Formula is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Sport Metallic Gold (code 63U) over Pewter cloth interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified by the RPO code label pictured above. The low mileage is not only validated by the amazing original condition of this Formula but also by the Ohio title pictured below stating the mileage as “Actual.”

Exterior

The Gold exterior is in very nice overall original condition. This Formula is believed to never have had any paintwork done and still hosts its original sheet metal and original factory emblems. The paint is in excellent overall condition for its age and there are no signs of visible rust and both bumpers are in great shape with no flaking paint. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. Tires are newer and have nearly full tread left on them and are correctly sized. The Wheels are OEM originals and are in excellent shape with no curb rash and have never been restored. All weather stripping and window sweeps are original and in excellent condition. The hatch area is factory stock and in great overall condition and the t top rack works as it should and the spare tire and jack are in the factory position. The underside of this Formula is honest and extremely solid and rust free. It has not been touched up with cheap spray paint or undercoating. All glass is factory original “LOF” glass.

Interior

The Pewter cloth interior of this Formula is original and in great condition. The seat covers are factory originals and in good overall condition for their age and have no major wear, stains, or seam splits, but there are a few burn holes especially in the passenger upper center area. The carpet is original and looks nearly perfect with no major stains, rips, or holes. The original dash is in excellent condition with no major cracks or fading. The original AM/FM CD Stereo sounds great and works as it should and thankfully the dash has not been cut for a modern stereo. The original door panels are in great condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. Amazingly they are not cracked at the top as most of these era cars are. The headliner is in excellent condition. All interior lights and gauges work as they should including the cigarette lighter. The horn, stereo, wipers, rear defrost, and blower motor on all speeds all work. All power options work on the car including power windows, power door locks, power drivers seat, and power antenna. Traction control also works.

Mechanical

This Formula is in exceptional mechanical condition with only 72,5590 actual miles. This Formula runs and drives very well and is a true joy to drive with the tops out and shifting through the gears. It is very tight and its obvious the car has never been apart. We have driven this Formula numerous times around town and it drives wonderfully, it does not run hot, rides very tight, and is a true joy to drive. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. The brakes are newer and do not pull and stop as they should with several brake lines and hoses recently replaced. Factory rear gears are 3.42 with posi traction. Brand new Megna Flow exhaust was recently added from the cats back. The car has a nice exhaust tone at idle and cruising speeds. A short throw shifter was also added and really makes shifting much nicer. The original shifter comes with the car. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. The engine bay is very unmolested and is very factory correct and a lot of the lines and wires are factory original. This is a factory AC car and all factory components are still on the car but the system appears to need a charge to blow cold. This Formula has been loved and meticulously cared for by its previous owners and the amazing overall original condition of this Formula is a testament to that. The outstanding originality of this Formula and the way it drives is a true testament to prior owners care and love for this special very rare car.
