Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1981 Factory two tone Silver over Dark Blue Corvette which is in nice overall driver condition. This Corvette features an attractive repaint in Factory correct Silver/Dark Blue two tone with new pin stripping, an original Dark Blue leather interior which is in great condition, and the believed to be original numbers matching 350 engine, to many factory parts needed to be removed to capture block vin stamp. This Corvette is very solid with great lines and gaps and shows no signs of visible rust anywhere around the car. This Corvette is finished in the beautiful and desirable two tone color combination of Silver(code 33) and Dark Blue(code 38) over Dark Blue leather(code 292) interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified by the trim tag pictured below.
Exterior
The Silver/Dark Blue exterior is in terrific driver condition. This Corvette was treated to a professional paint job in the factory Silver/Dark Blue two tone paint scheme and shows well. The paint is in great driver condition and the frame is solid. Both bumpers are in good shape shape with no flaking or fading paint, but there are two paint chips, one on the top of the passenger rear quarter panel and one behind the passenger door cup. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but nothing was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires have good tread left and are sized 255/60/15 and the wheels are OEM originals which shine nicely and have no curb rash. The t tops come on and off nicely and fit snug and do not rattle while driving. All glass is “LOF” original glass. The headlights work very well and go up and down as they should.
Interior
The Dark Blue leather interior of this Corvette is in great condition. The original seat covers are in good condition but do have some normal wear on the edges where people get in and out. The carpet is in new condition with no major stains, rips, or holes. The original dash is in great condition with no cracks or fading and the dash bezel is in great condition as well. The am/fm cassette stereo works well and thankfully the dash has not been cut for a modern stereo. The door panels are in great condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The drivers seat is powered and functions properly in all modes. The power antenna works properly and goes up and down as it should. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should. The horn, stereo, wipers, power windows, and fan blower also work. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.
Mechanical
This Corvette appears to be in good mechanical condition. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs well. This Corvette is a good driver that feels good on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs good. As with most older classic cars this Corvette could benefit from a tune up and fine adjustments as it has been sitting and not used much for awhile. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. Also, the engine is clean, nicely detailed, and factory correct as one can see from the photos. This is a factory AC car and all the AC parts are in place but it appears to need charged to blow cold.
