Cincy Classic Cars is very proud to offer this amazing survivor 1979 El Camino which is in fantastic original condition with extremely low actual miles of 9970. This El Camino is Un-Restored and in like new condition in every way. My guess is this El Camino is easily one of the best of its kind on the Planet, surely the best or one of the best on the current market based on our research. It is completely legit and the Previous owner bought it in 1984 with 8000 miles on it and drove less than 2000 miles in the 33 years he owned it. It never left the Indianapolis area until we purchased it and trailer-ed it back to our shop in Cincinnati. Please view the copy of the title from 1984 below. I also found the original build sheet while cleaning under the seat which again validates this Unbelievable El Camino, see supporting photos below. This El Camino features amazing all original paint, a stunningly beautiful original interior, the window sticker and build sheet, and the original numbers matching complete drive line. This El Camino is absolutely solid and has no visible rust anywhere around the truck or under the truck, and is very solid with great lines and gaps. Its believed that this El Camino has never had any body work done and is all original sheet metal. This El Camino is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Black/Gold over Tan vinyl interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag and window sticker pictured below. The low mileage is not only validated by the amazing original condition of this El Camino but also by the Ohio title pictured below stating the mileage as “Actual.”

Exterior

The Black and Gold exterior is in incredible original condition. This El Camino has never had any paintwork done and still hosts its original sheet metal and factory emblems, trim, and moldings. The paint is in spectacular condition for its age and being original and there are no signs of visible rust anywhere around the truck or under the truck. Truck was rust proofed in 1980 by American Rust Proofing, see pictured receipt. Both bumpers are in excellent shape with no pitting, dents, or scratches. This El Camino is extremely strait with great gaps and lines, and appears to be free of door dings and the like. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires great tread left and drive just fine. The wheels are OEM originals and are in near perfect shape with no curb rash and have never been restored or painted. All weather stripping and window sweeps are original and in excellent condition. The rear cargo compartment and spare tire storage area is near factory perfect and very solid and clean with the spare tire, jack, with the original floor mat. It appears that the spare tire has never been removed from its factory position. The underside of this El Camino is honest and extremely solid and rust free, and has not had any touch ups. The rear tail gate works perfectly and the toneau cover is like new and all the snaps work correctly. Included is a receipt from 1984 for a new cover. This cover is 33 years old and still in perfect shape. All glass is factory “LOF” original, and in excellent shape.

Interior

The Tan vinyl interior of this El Camino is original and in superb condition. The seat cover is factory original and in perfect condition for its age and has no major wear, stains, or seam splits. The carpet is original and looks nearly perfect with no major stains, rips, or holes. The original dash is in excellent condition with no cracks or fading and the gauges are crisp and clear. The original AM/FM 8 Track stereo works great in this El Camino and thankfully the dash has not been cut for a modern stereo. The 8 Track Player works very well as you can see in the video. The original door panels are in excellent condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner is in like new condition. All interior lights and gauges work as they should outside of the clock. The horn, stereo, wipers, and blower motor on all speeds all work. A few tasteful bolt on’s were added around 1984 such as chrome valve covers and tri-pod aftermarket gauges, which work perfectly. These could easily be removed for a complete stock appearance.

Mechanical

This El Camino is in excellent mechanical condition with only 9970 actual miles on the original drive line and drives like new in every way. A new battery was recently added. We have driven this El Camino several times and it drives very nicely, it does not run hot, rides very tight, and is a true joy to drive. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car and it has no rattles or annoying noises. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. The engine bay is very unmolested and is very factory correct and a lot of the lines, hoses, and wires are factory original. The exhaust is factory correct stock but the muffler was removed and strait pipes added in its place. An original type muffler could easily be added to make this factory correct again. This El Camino has been loved and meticulously cared for by its previous owner and overall condition of the truck and the way it runs and drives validates that. The outstanding originality of this El Camino and the way it drives is a true testament to prior owners care and love for this special El Camino. It was stored in a climate controlled facility for 33 years.
