1978 Pontiac Trans Am which is in restored show condition and comes in a beautiful factory color combination. Rare color combination of Chesterfield Brown over Black vinyl interior. Been looking for years for this exact color combination and this is the only one I have ever seen in either photo or in person. Comes with the very sought after Factory WS6 handling package and the W72 Pontiac 400 performance engine. This TA is a continuous show winner and I have placed numerous times with this car at car shows. This is coupled with Factory 3.23 rear gears which is very rare for an automatic TA. Beautiful newer Chesterfield brown paint with newer S.E. style graphics and pin stripes. The WS6 wheels have been restored and feature the solid gold inserts. The original engine is in stock form and the engine bay is very clean and detailed. The exhaust has been upgraded with true dual exhaust with Flowmaster style mufflers and the sound is awesome. The interior is a combination of restored and original. Its in excellent overall condition. The trunk features the original space saver spare tire, jack, inflator bottle, and the original t top bags. This TA comes with two factory build sheets and most of the original dealer documents.
Exterior features a beautiful professional repaint in Factory Chesterfield brown with all new decals and added pin stripes. The paint is silky smooth and gorgeous with a smooth touch and deep gloss. The lines and gaps are great on this car. All weather stripping is in good shape and the window sweeps were just changed to new units. A new nose emblem was added and new front bumper grills were added. Tires have great tread left and are sized 255/60/15 and the wheels are factory correct WS6 1978 wheels which were refinished and come with new center caps and new lug nuts.
Interior features a near perfect original dash with no cracks, no warping and no fading. The dash bezel was professionally restored by Randy Combs and looks brand new. A new center console was added with a new power window switch. New door panels were recently installed and are in new condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. New window sweeps were recently installed. Carpet is like new and a new headliner was recently installed. Package tray is like new with correct speaker grills. Car has not been smoked in and has no cigarette aroma.
This TA runs very well and has a smooth idle and no smoking at start up or while driving. It also runs very cool and has never gotten hot while driving. The steering is very tight and responsive as expected from a WS6 TA with special handling package from the factory. The brakes have been serviced and stop very well and do not pull at all. The fuel pump was replaced as were several fuel lines. The shocks were replaced as were the sway bar end links. The blower motor and horn are not currently working.
