Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1978 Silver Anniversary Numbers Matching Corvette which is in beautiful overall condition with very rare factory ordered Dark Blue interior. This Corvette is a true Factory ordered Silver Anniversary Corvette with Dark Blue interior per trim tag pictured below. This is a stunning and special ordered color combination, very few are know to exist with this being one of them. I personally think its a gorgeous color combination and the only one I have seen or even heard about. This Corvette features a nice repaint in the very sought after Silver Anniversary paint scheme, an restored factory dark blue interior which is in fantastic condition, and a very nice running 350 engine which is original to the car, see engine block vin stamp below. This Corvette is very solid with great lines and gaps and shows no signs of visible rust anywhere around or under the car. This Corvette is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Silver Anniversary paint(code 13/07) over Dark Blue leather (code 29) interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified by the trim tag pictured below.
Exterior
The Silver Anniversary exterior is in very nice condition. This Corvette was treated to a professional paint job in the factory Silver Anniversary color which shows well. The paint is in very good condition and the frame is very solid. The paint has a great shine and is smooth to the touch. Both bumpers are in good shape with no flaking or fading paint. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but nothing was intentionally excluded from the photos, there are some minor touch ups here and there. The tires have great tread left on them and are sized 255/60/15 and the wheels are OEM originals and in nice shape with no curb rash and shine nicely. The t tops come on and off nicely and fit snug and do not rattle while driving. All glass is “LOF” original glass. The headlights go up and down and work as they should. The power antenna is not currently hooked up to the modern stereo but it does get decent radio reception.
Interior
The Factory Ordered Dark Blue leather interior of this Corvette is in excellent restored condition. The interior restoration occurred less than 2000 miles ago. The seat covers are in newly restored condition without any issues. The seat covers had cloth inserts from the factory but reproductions are not available and full leather dark blue seats were installed during the restoration. New carpet was installed in the front and rear of this corvette and is in like new condition. The rear cargo/battery compartment was replaced as well. The original dash is in great condition with no cracks and the dash bezel is in great condition as well. The am/fm cd player stereo works well in the car and sounds good. The door panels are new as well and in perfect condition with no issues, and also the door cups were replaced and so were the door lock pulls. Both door pulls are new and in tact. All gauges work as they should outside of the clock and the tach. The stereo, wipers, power windows, and fan blower also work. The horn is not working. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.
Mechanical
This Corvette is in great mechanical condition and we have driven it numerous times and it always performs very well and is a true joy to drive. Very importantly the 350 engine is original to the car. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs well. The previous owner of this Corvette kept meticulous care of the car and regular maintenance was performed. This Corvette is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs great. The transmission was serviced within the last 2000 miles and new seals/gaskets and new pan was added. The brakes stop well. New mufflers were just added and the original catalytic converter is still in place. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. This is a factory AC car and all the original AC components seem to be on the car but appears to need charged to blow cold.
