Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1978 Silver Anniversary Numbers Matching Corvette which is in beautiful overall condition with low “Actual” miles of 63,693. This Corvette is a true Factory ordered Silver Anniversary Corvette and comes with its original factory build sheet to authenticate the car. This Corvette features a nice repaint in the very sought after Silver Anniversary paint scheme, an original interior which is in great condition, and a very nice running 350 engine which is original to the car, see engine block vin stamp below. This Corvette is very solid with great lines and gaps and shows no signs of visible rust anywhere around the car. This Corvette is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Silver Anniversary paint(code 13/07) over Oyster leather (code 122) interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified by the trim tag and factory build sheet pictured below.
Exterior
The Silver Anniversary exterior is in very nice condition. This Corvette was treated to a professional paint job in the factory Silver Anniversary color which shows well. The paint is in very good condition and the frame is very solid. Both bumpers are in good shape with no flaking or fading paint. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but nothing was intentionally excluded from the photos, there are some minor paint chips around the car. The tires have great tread left on them and are correctly sized 225/70/15 and the wheels are OEM originals and in nice shape with no curb rash and shine nicely. The t tops come on and off nicely and fit snug and do not rattle while driving. All glass is “LOF” original glass. The headlights go up and down and work, but do take a little extra time to close. The power antenna motor works but the antenna does not go completely up, but it does get good reception.
Interior
The Oyster leather interior of this Corvette is in great original condition. The seat covers are original and in great shape but the drivers seat does have some very slight wear where the driver gets in and out. The carpet is in good original condition with no major stains, rips, or holes, but it is deteriorated behind the drives seat in one spot, its unnoticeable unless the drivers seat is pulled forward. A nice set of 25th anniversary mats come with the car. The original dash is in great condition with no cracks and the dash bezel is in great condition as well. The am/fm cassette stereo works well in the car and sounds good. Thankfully the dash was not cut on to install a modern stereo. The door panels are in great condition with no major wear and both door pulls are solid and in tact. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should outside of the clock. The horn, stereo, wipers, power windows, and fan blower also work. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.
Mechanical
This Corvette is in great mechanical condition and we have driven it numerous times and it always performs very well and is a true joy to drive. The 350 engine is original to the car and only has 63,693 “Actual” miles. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs well. The previous owner of this Corvette kept meticulous care of the car and regular maintenance was performed. Several items under the car have been upgraded or replaced including many suspension parts, plus an awesome upgraded exhaust system which features chambered pipes that sound incredible at idle and cruising speeds. This Corvette is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs great. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. The engine is very fresh and appears to be recently rebuilt. This is a factory AC car and all the original AC components seem to be on the car but appears to need charged to blow cold.
