Cincy Classic Cars is very proud to offer this stunning 1977 Pontiac Trans Am Smokey and the Bandit Tribute TA which is in fantastic overall condition and priced to sell. This Trans Am started life as a run of the mill Brown TA with Rally II wheels. It has been transformed into the infamous “Bandit” car which is highly desired and red hot in the collector car market and can be obtained for a fraction of the cost of a real one. You can also drive as you wish without being paranoid of being in a 50K plus car. This SE Tribute TA has been fully restored to a high level and looks and drives fantastic. This TA is very solid with excellent body lines and gaps and there is no rust anywhere around the car and no bubbling paint. Frame and under carriage is also very solid with no seen rust. This Trans Am features a stunning newer show quality paint job with newer Special Edition decals, a beautiful restored Buckskin deluxe interior, a fully rebuilt matching numbers Pontiac 400 engine, and the factory Build Sheet. This Trans Am is finished in the beautiful and most desirable color combinations of Starlight Black (code 19) over Buckskin (code 64N) deluxe vinyl interior. Just a beautiful color combination and highly sought after.

Exterior

The Black exterior is in superb restored condition. This Trans Am was treated to a professional repaint in recent years and still has a show quality look. The paint quality is high with an excellent gloss and is very smooth to the touch. It is very slick and fresh and shows very well. There is no rust anywhere on the body of this TA and the lines and gaps are excellent. The Special Edition decals and pin stripping are in excellent shape and show very well on the car. Both bumpers are in great shape with no flaking or faded paint and no spider webbing. The front grills were replaced during the repaint and so was the nose crest emblem. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. Tires good tread left and are correctly sized 225/70/15 and the 15×7 snowflake wheels are OEM restored original wheels which are in great shape with brand new center caps and lug nuts. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in excellent new condition. Trunk is very solid and clean with the original space save spare tire, jack and new trunk mat. All glass is “LOF” original style glass.

Interior

The Buckskin Tan deluxe vinyl interior of this Trans Am is in terrific restored condition. The seat covers have been recently replaced and are like new with no noticeable wear. These factory style seats are the best looking and most comfortable seats ever put in a second generation TA. The carpet is in great shape with no major stains, rips, or holes. The original dash is in good overall condition and the dash bezel is in good condition as well. The two prong AM/FM Digital Retrosound MP3 stereo was installed years ago in the factory position so nothing was cut in the dash, and it sounds great with the newer JBL speakers. The original door panels are in great condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The top of the door panels have been reworked by a professional to have a new look and the original door panels are included in the sale and pictured above. The headliner has been replaced and is not sagging anywhere. The package tray was recently replaced and is in like new condition and newer 6×9 JBL speakers were added. All interior lights and gauges work as they should outside of the clock, and tach. The stereo, wipers, and blower motor all work, the horn is currently working but is weak sounding. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.

Mechanical

This Trans Am is in excellent mechanical condition with a fully rebuilt Pontiac 400 engine at a cost of $4641.55.
Receipt for the Build and Cam Card are pictured above. Most importantly this engine is the original engine to the car from the factory, see vin stamp photo. This TA has more power than stock and we estimate it to be around 300-350 HP. This TA is very street able but also has the WOW factor should you put your foot into it. We have driven this TA numerous times on the streets and highways and it always performs very well, does not run hot, rides tight, and is a true joy to drive. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs very well. Unfortunately the camera makes a clicking sounding noise when moved around, you can hear this sound in the walk around video as well. This Trans Am is an great driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs great. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. True dual exhaust was recently added which gives this TA and nice rumble at idle and cruising speeds. Also, the engine is exceptionally clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. This is a factory car and all of the AC components are on the car. The compressor has been upgraded to a modern unit and it currently blows cold. This TA has been loved and meticulously cared for by its previous owners and several wear items have been replaced. There is a slight howl in the rear end and the speedometer reads a little high. The outstanding way this TA looks and drives is a true testament to prior owners care and love for this special TA. Notice the new body mounts under the car and newer leaf springs.
