Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this stunning 1974 Triumph TR6 which is beautiful overall condition with low actual miles of 74,474. This TR6 was previously owned for over 20 years by a true Triumph enthusiast who has a modded frame off restored TR6, a rare true Italia project, and formerly this TR6. He was moving and needed to downsize some is how we came across this honest gem. This TR6 features beautiful paint, a very nice black original stock interior, the original 6 cylinder engine and 4 speed transmission, and most impressively the original top and boot. To find a TR6 with the original top in fantastic condition is indeed unique. This TR6 is extremely solid with great lines and gaps and shows no signs of visible rust on the body or anywhere on the frame and underneath. This TR6 is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of White over Black interior. The low actual miles is not only verified by the excellent all around condition of this TR6 but also by the clear Ohio title pictured below stating the miles as “Actual.”

Exterior

The White exterior is in beautiful overall condition. The previous owner of 20 years stated he never had any paint or body work performed and is unaware of any such work completed prior to his ownership. There are no paint lines anywhere around the car but there are some signs of paint work being performed in the front end, with one of the I.D. tags painted over and behind the front grill being painted. The paint overall is in great condition and really shines well and has a smooth touch. It looks as good in person as it does in the photos and video. There is no evidence of rust anywhere on this car or underneath. The body shows no rust at all and no bubbling paint. The front passenger side fender does have two smaller creases as seen in the photos towards the top of fender. Any dent wizard could fix it without needing paint work. The original rockers are in excellent shape. The original floor pans are rust free and original primer is noticeable in the photos below. The frame is very solid and rust free as well and thankfully the underside has not been covered up by cheap spray paint. The underside is very honest and in excellent shape. The bumpers are original and in good overall condition but they have not been restored and show a few blemishes here and there. They shine nicely and look very good on the car. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. The Pirelli tires have great tread left and are correctly sized 195/65/15 and the 15×7 wheels are unrestored originals in great shape with no curb rash. The Original convertible top is in spectacular shape for being over 43 years old and works as it should and is in great overall condition. It has the reflective ribbon around the edges, the diamond pattern on the underside, correct stamping, and the removable rear window. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in great condition. Trunk is very solid and clean with the original trunk mat, original spare tire, and the original jack tools. All glass is “Triplex” original glass and in excellent shape.

Interior

The Black interior of this TR6 is in excellent original style condition. This was a factory shawdow blue interior car but it was converted to black well over 20 years ago using mostly Factory Original components. The original style seat covers are in great overall condition with no major wear, seam splits, or rips or tears. The seat foam is very supportive and comfortable. The original carpet is in superb condition for its age with no major stains, rips, or holes. The original carpet hold downs are noticeable in the photos. The original door panels are in excellent condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The dash is in great condition with no cracks or fading and the wood dash surround is in great condition as well. The original steering wheel is in beautiful condition and the horn works properly. The stereo has been upgraded to a modern “Retrosound” system which looks old school but has modern technology with mp3/cell hook ups. It sounds great but for some odd reason the video playback has a lot of static. I can assure you that is not the case at all, it plays as it should without static and with great normal sound. There are speaker wire leads ran to the rear cabin if needed for external box speakers. The gauges are very crisp and the chrome around them is in excellent shape. The interior lights all work and are bright and crisp. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should. The horn, wipers, gauges, heater and stereo all work. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.

Mechanical

This TR6 is in exceptional mechanical condition with only 74,474 actual miles. Most importantly the believed to be original engine is still in the car. The engine number is only 115 numbers away from the commission number on the car. We have driven this TR6 numerous times around town and on the highway and it always performs very well, does not run hot, rides tight, and is a true joy to drive. Previous owners of this fantastic TR6 have kept meticulous care of this car. Outside of routine maintenance the Previous owner only replaced the clutch and starter in over 20 years of ownership. In his words this TR6 is such a dependable/reliable car it just didn’t need much. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs very well. This TR6 is an excellent driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs excellent. This TR6 starts quickly and holds idle within a few moments of having the choke on. In less than one minute the choke can be fully off. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. This TR6 has a stock style muffler which sounds great at idle and cruising speeds. Also, the engine is meticulously clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. The engine bay is factory stock and very original as one can see from the photos. The original fan shroud is still in excellent condition. In the video the camera makes clicking noises mostly during shifting, this is not a car noise at all. You can hear the same noise in the walk around video with the car not running.
