Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this stunning 1972 Triumph TR6 which is beautiful restored condition with low actual miles of 59,153. This TR6 is a 3 owner car with the original owner having the car for 40 years until 2012. This TR6 has been nicely restored in its factory colors and is ready to be enjoyed by its new owner. This TR6 appears fresh and shows very well. This TR6 features beautiful Damson Red paint, a terrific fully restored interior, a nicely running 6 cylinder engine and 4 speed transmission which are believed to be original to the car, and a stack of maintenance receipts and service records. This TR6 is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Damson Red exterior over New Tan interior. This is the factory color scheme as indicated on the commission plate pictured above. The low mileage is not only evident by the excellent overall condition of this TR6 but also by the Ohio title pictured above branding the mileage as “Actual.”

Exterior

The Damson Red exterior is in fantastic restored condition. This TR6 was painted about 2 years ago and still looks fresh in its base coat clear coat finish. The paint is in wonderful condition throughout the car and has a shiny gloss and smooth overall touch. There is no visible evidence of rust anywhere on this car. The body shows no rust at all and no bubbling or cracked paint. New floor pans have been added and the frame has been reinforced in a few areas. Overall the underside is honest and in good shape. The bumpers are in good overall condition and fog lights were added to the front bumper. The fogs lights work properly as seen in the photos and they look great on the car and shine nicely. The tires have nearly full tread left and are sized 205/75/15 and the wheels are nicely restored originals. The convertible top is new and in near perfect condition and the top cover is original and in great shape. All weather stripping and seals are in like new condition and most have been replaced. Trunk is very solid and clean with a new trunk mat, original spare tire, and original jack tools. Both doors have “Triplex” original glass and both are in excellent shape and the windshield is original “Triplex” glass as well in great condition.

Interior

The New Tan interior of this TR6 is in excellent restored condition. The seat covers are in excellent overall condition with no major wear but the passenger seat bottom does have a few small splits. These seats were professionally rebuilt with new foam and new panels but the inserts are original perforated panels with the original pin holes in the material. These were done this way to preserved originality. The black carpet is new as well and in excellent condition with no major stains, rips, or holes. The door panels were replaced as well and are in like new condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The dash is in great condition with no cracks or fading and the wood dash surround is in great condition as well. The dash pad was just replaced and in new condition. The birds eye maple dash surround is like new and looks excellent in the car. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should. The horn and blower motor are not currently working. This TR6 has an original style stereo which works. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.

Mechanical

This TR6 is in nice mechanical condition and it runs and drives really well. The engine is believed to be original to the car as its very close to the cars commission number at CC82397UE engine number. We have driven this TR6 numerous times around town and on the highway and it always performs very well, does not run hot, rides tight, and is a true joy to drive. Previous owners of this fantastic TR6 have kept meticulous care of this car and there are several receipts that are included with the car. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs very well. This TR6 is an excellent driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. The brakes have been recently serviced and do not pull and stop as they should. The exhaust system looks factory and sounds great at idle and cruising speeds. Also, the engine is meticulously clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. Upgraded ignition and new spark plugs and spark plug wires were recently installed. A new hydraulic clutch kit was just installed on this TR6 with receipt included. Years ago an electronic fuel pump was added. A new emergency brake cable was installed but needs adjusted properly to work at its best.
